∞SINGLES MATCH∞
LANDON CARTER vs. LINDEN CASSIDY
“Talk about not being able to read a room.” Yuki Kita remarked.
‘Push It’ hit the p.a. and the debuting Landon Carter walked to the ring, looking as focussed as any ex-con would (he maintains his innocence). The mat began and Cassidy chastised Carter for interrupting him to which Carter responded with a flurry of heavy handed strikes. Carter put Cassidy on his back with a double leg takedown and then hit the ropes and smashed Cassidy right in the mush with Greetings From Kings County (Running Knee to the Face). Carter covered for two.
“This seems unfair to me, I do not believe that The Sunrise Child was ready for this match to start!” Bon Klassen said.
“He seems ready for it to end.” Kita responded.
Following in Irish whip reversal from Cassidy, Carter was smashed with a lariat. Cassidy covered and got two but the count didn’t end because of a kickout. It ended because Carter transitioned into a kimura! Cassidy fought out by using the ropes for leverage but he walked right into a huge roundhouse kick from Carter. Carter then pulled Cassidy into Bankrupt (Lifting DDT) and covered for the three count victory.
Winner: Landon Carter
∞VOLKOV’S DEN∞
The scene switched from the ring to show Glitches General Manager watching the program on his busted old television. If this tv set was a house, people would be smoking crack in it. Volkov stood smoking his signature cigar and was speaking to someone out of frame.
“I do not like heem.” Volkov said, “He is disrespectful and arrogant. He has done nothing in this business and interrupted Volkov? Nyet. That does not hyappen.”
The voice from off screen responded, saying that he would take care of it. The camera pulled out to show “The Obsession” Danny Hall, arms crossed and leaning against a stone pillar.
“Make sure that you do. You are being gyiven and opportunity to perform on Frontline. Should you win, you would not only make Volkov look for telling the rest of Leadership that you have potential, but you may also earn yourself a championship myatch.”
Hall nodded, “It’s not going to be a problem. I’ve already got Zafar Khan on his heels, he thinks the audience can save him tomorrow night but in reality -- nothing can.”
With that ominous phrase, Hall walked out of frame.
∞TRIAD MATCH∞
BRITISH ISLE BRAWLERS vs. THE PENNY DREADFULS
It was time for some TRIAD ACTION next. Before the match began it was announced by Kristie Steele that Triad Matches would now be contested under Lucha Libre Rules -- if a competitor was dumped out of the ring, someone else from their team could jump in without a tag.
The match started with Meera Makara for the Brawlers and Helena Handbasket for the Dreadfuls. Handbasket opened this bitch up with a superkick that caught the rookie off guard. Handbasket then doubled Makara over with an arm wrench and went for a ropewalk chop but Makara shoved Handbasket off of the top rope to the outside.
Makara went to taunt the Dreadfuls but Riley Rouse came flying into the ring with a double knee facebreaker. Rouse covered and got a two count. “Both teams have yet to pick up a Triad win, both teams having lost to the champion Switchblade Angels.” Yuki Kita remarked.
Rouse maintained wrist control on Makara and went to tag in Jackie Naught but Makara overpowered Rouse and pulled her right into an open palm strike to the face. Makara tagged in Ash Fi who then quickly tagged in Morag Bean. Makara popped Rouse into the air and on the way down both Fi and Bean caught Rouse with stereo European uppercuts. Bean covered but only a got a two count.
Handbasket was up on the other apron and called for a tag but Fi came out of nowhere and knocked Handbasket off of the apron. Naught threw her hands up in anger and dropped off the apron in anger. “Naught seems very unimpressed with her teammates, just like last week.” Bon Klassen said. “And rightfully so.”
Bean got Rouse up and set her up for a side Russian leg sweep. Makara and Fi then smashed Rouse in the back of the head with stereo superkicks to complete the Union of Crowns. Bean covered and got the three count.
Winners: British Isle Brawlers
∞BACKSTAGE∞
We were backstage somewhere near gorilla position, the cameras panned over to the side to find Grayson Kendricks sitting on a nearby production crate. Grayson, who was already fully dressed in his gear turned his head toward the camera and formed a sly smirk before quickly scratching at the scruff on his face.
"Day one, my first match.. I failed. I lost to Danny Hall. I let a ton of people down and that’s 100% on me." Kendricks said
His smirk slowly faded off of his face, turned into a serious glare as he cracked his knuckles against his jawline.
"So when I look at the mountain of a challenge that I’m facing up against, I can’t help but to smile. I can’t help but to think of how poetic it’d be if I took down that giant tonight, fighting adversity and overcoming that loss that I suffered against Hall."
Rising up from the production crate, Kendricks looked off into the distance and nodded before turning his attention back over to the camera.
"Now I ain’t delusional. I know that this ain’t gonna be easy. I know that this is gonna be a heavy task, some might say an obstacle while others might even go as far as to call it impossible… but if anyone knows me, it’s that I love me a challenge. Watch for the bounce back Cus I ain’t backing down y’all. Grayson Kendricks is gone be a household name. Just. You. Wait."
Grayson confidently walked out of the shot and down the hall as we slowly fade to black.
∞VIDEO PACKAGE∞
The screen went all fuzzy-like and then a “PLEASE STAND BY” notice appeared. The scene then cut to the Toronto harbourfront at night, porteyed in black and white. The camera slowly panned out to show the trio known as Static Age - Kara Scene, Leland Morgan, and Tommy Kapstone.
“Tomorrow night we continue our winning ways. We are going to dismantle the Tag Team Champions and their tag along.” Scene said, “Thomas already took out Erik Holland once without much effort at all.”
“I barely broke a sweat.” Kapstone added.
“At Frontline XII our age continues, the disruption continues. Do not adjust your device, static is all.” Morgan said before the feed went all fuzzy again and then black.
∞SINGLES MATCH∞
AKEMI HAYASHI vs. CARTER WILLIAMS
The next contest really wasn’t fair at all. The debuting “Dagger” Akemi Hayashi hit the ring and got a big pop from the audience, despite them not knowing shit all about it her. “Kodiak” Carter Williams then stomped to the ring and everyone seemed genuinely concerned for Dagger. Williams entered the ring and stared Hayashi down.
Hayashi valiently charged Kodiak and attempted to lift him with a scoop slam -- that shit wasn’t happening. Hayashi then hit a few running forearm shots to Kodiak’s face but the big man just ate them. Hayashi rushed him again and Kodiak threw a lariat looking move but Hayashi ducked under it and then jumped on his back with a sleeper hold.
“You’ve got to admire her tenacity.” Yuki Kita said.
Kodiak had enough at this point, he reached back, grabbed Hayashi’s arms and then swung her over with a flipping slam. Hayashi was hurt but she rallied back, running right into Kodiaki’s Dead Lift Drop (Spinning Side Slam). Kodiak effortlessly covered for the three count.
Winner: “Kodiak” Carter Williams
∞INTERVIEW∞
In the backstage area Glitches Interviewer Kristie Steele stood with Iron Champion, “The Nightmare King” Lio Walsh. Steele congratulated Walsh on his title victory and Walsh scoffed. Walsh said that the Iron Title has only ever had three people hold it and after tonight his title reign will have last longer than Azurine Vebbins Hybrid Title reign. Walsh said that he was going to show Vebbins that Glitches is his domain and that he would continue the trend of her blowing big opportunities.
∞SINGLES MATCH∞
ESCHATON vs. GRAY KENDRICKS
This match began with Gray Kendricks getting a pop and Eschaton receiving all kinds of hate. Kendricks rushed Eschaton with a big front dropkick and then came off of the second rope looking for a tornado ddt but Eschaton held him up and tossed him across the ring onto his belly.
Kendricks rallied back with a running knee to Eschaton’s mid-section and then looked to come off the top rope with a moonsault but Eschaton caught him over his shoulder and planted him into the mat with a powerslam. Eschaton whipped Kendricks into the ropes and tried for the Revelations kick but Kendricks slipped under it.
Kendricks hit another dropkick to the back which sent Eschaton into the corner. GK3 then ran and nailed Eschaton with a leaping clothesline that dropped Eschaton to a knee. Kendricks went for a headscissors takedown but Eschaton caught him, lifted him up and planted him with The End of All Things for the pinfall victory.
Winner: Eschaton

∞SINGLES MATCH∞
CASSIE SYKES vs. MARILYN LEE CROSS
Cassie Sykes hit the ring by her lonesome and looked to be in a particularly foul mood. Marilyn Lee Cross also came to the ring alone and this roused suspicion from Yuki Kita -- where was Lena Skye? MLC started the match with a palm strike to the rushing Sykes and then hit an impressive tiger suplex for a two count. MLC looked to press the advantage but Sykes hit her with a forearm smash and followed that up with a springboard hurricanranna in which she landed on her feet, then took a bow.
“Cassie Sykes is pulling double duty, she’ll appear on Frontline tomorrow night.” Bon Klassen noted.
“She should be focussing on tonight.” Yuki Kita added.
Sykes charged MLC and went for some kind of leaping strike but MLC caught her in a fireman’s carry and did a side flip death valley driver, affectionately known as Do A Barrel Roll! (like Star Fox, y’know?). MLC then stalked Sykes and that’s when the tron lit up.
“Oh...there’s Lena Skye.” Klassen said.
The tron showed Skye down and out backstage with a dented steel chair sitting beside her. MLC took notice of this and it distracted her long enough for Sykes to get up and catch her with Blood Mist and quickly followed that up with the Syke-oh (Running Frontflip DDT). Sykes then climbed to the top rope and nailed the Syke’d Up (Inverted Phoenix Splash) for the three count and the victory.
Winner: Cassie Sykes
Sykes got her hand raised and then skipped up the ramp laughing, leaving MLC down in the ring.
∞INTERVIEW∞
Once again we went backstage and this time it was “Kodiak” Carter Williams standing with Kristie Steele. Steele asked Kodiak what his plans were now that he had gotten back to his winning ways. Kodiak didn’t even get to respond when the other towering force in Glitches walked into frame - Eschaton.
Eschaton said that they had unfinished business, that although neither of them were able to win the Iron Title, it seemed that they were both out of the hunt until then. Eschaton said that both of them needed to make a BIG statement. Kodiak asked if Eschaton planned to do that with use of a stun gun. Eschaton just scoffed and said that if they went to war, he wouldn’t need a stun gun to be the last man standing. Eschaton then caught himself and said that last man standing was a hell of an idea before walking away.
#1 CONTENDERSHIP: IRON TITLE
∞SINGLES MATCH∞
CAMILLE HARRINGTON vs. PEACHES
Big match time. Both Harrington and Peaches got equally positive responses from the audience in The Dungeon. The two gave each other respectful nods and then went to work. Peaches evaded a strike from from Harrington and then nailed a springboard back elbow. Harrington tried to rush Peaches but got caught with a back body drop that sent Harrington to the outside.
Peaches called out to her supporters in The Dungeon and went for a running plancha but Harrington moved out of the way and Peaches landed with the dirtiest thud on the outside. Peaches, out of instinct, got right back up and walked right into an STO from The Chi-Town Striker.
Harrington rolled Peaches back into the ring and then kept Peaches down with a series of hard stomps. “That high risk offense may have cost Peaches the number one contendership.” said Yuki Kita. Harrington caught Peaches with an arm trap swinging suplex and covered for a two count.
Peaches rallied back but Harrington caught her with a jumping knee to the chin. Peaches fell back and caught herself on the top rope. Harrington rushed Peaches but the latter low bridged the top rope and Harrington found herself on the apron. Peaches then hit a springboard dropkick that took Harrington off of the apron to the floor.
“She’s gonna do it again. I feel like that isn’t...smart.” Bon Klassen said.
Peaches called out to The Dungeon again and this time she hit the plancha on Harrington to the outside. Peaches rolled Harrington back in the ring and then climbed up to the top rope. Peaches went for The Booty Drop (Top Rope Seated Senton). Peaches came off of the top and Harrington moved her body just enough that Peaches hit the mat and then Harrington transitioned into the Chi-Raq Clench (Seated Fujiwara Armbar). Peaches lasted for a respectable amount of time before being forced to submit.
Winner: #1 Contender to the Iron Title, Camille Harrington
∞GORILLA∞
Azurine Vebbins was shown backstage getting ready to make her entrance for the main event when she was approached by three figures -- Elysium Triad Champions The Switchblade Angels. Boots Martin offered Vebbins condolences for losing the Hybrid Champion the previous week. Martin said that should Vebbins lose tonight that she shouldn’t feel bad, everyone expects her to lose big matches these days so no one would be disappointed. All three members of SBA laughed before walking away.
∞SINGLES MATCH∞
AZURINE VEBBINS vs. LIO WALSH
Former champion versus current champion was the theme of this one. Azurine Vebbins was looking to recover from her Hybrid Championship loss last week on Frontline and Lio Walsh was looking to solidify himself as the top competitor on Glitches. Things didn’t start that way. Vebbins caught Walsh with a dropkick right off of the hop and when Walsh tried to rally back and Vebbins took him over with a fireman’s carry. Walsh tried to rally back a second time and this time Vebbins put her boot to his mid-section and took Walsh over with a snap suplex.
Walsh slipped out of the ring to put some distance between himself and Vebbins. Vebbins chased him, which she probably shouldn’t have done because Walsh caught her with a drop toe hold that put her face right into the steep steps. Walsh rolled Vebbins back into the ring and sent her into the corner. Walsh hit a series of furious kicks to Vebbin’s mid-section and then climbed up to the second rope where he punched her in the face a solid twenty times. Walsh hopped down and then lifted Vebbins up to the top rope before he took her back down to the mat with an impressive superplex. Walsh covered but only got a two count.
The Nightmare King looked very pleased with himself at this point but that smug expression was wiped right off when The Adorkable Angel caught him with a motherfucker of an open palm strike to the nose. It didn’t end there, Vebbins followed that up with two forearm shivers, an elbow smash, and ended the combination with a running DDT that spiked Walsh onto the top of his dome. Vebbins covered and got a near fall.
“This is a more aggressive Azurine Vebbins, it is working for her.” Yuki Kita said.
“I imagine she will find some way to bungle it.” Bon Klassen said.
Vebbins got to her feet and seemed a little shocked by the love she was receiving from The Dungeon. She applauded them for applauding her and this gave Walsh time to slip out of the ring. Walsh took hold of a light tube and then slid back into the ring, Walsh laid on his back and concealed the tube under his arm. When Vebbins advanced on him, Walsh smashed the light tube in her face.
“Holy fuck!” Kita exclaimed.
“There is the bungle. Did I will that into existence?” Klassen said.
Vebbins stumbled around the ring holding her face and Walsh hit her with a knee to the mid-section. Walsh went to take her over with a vertical suplex but Vebbins hooked her leg on his and prevented it. Walsh quickly slipped behind Vebbins and took her over with a high angle German suplex.
Walsh called out for the end and tried to pull Vebbins into his Reign Over (Double Underhook DDT) but Vebbins turned it into a release Northern Light suplex. The camera zoomed in on Vebbins face and she was bleeding from the forehead. This seemed to motivate The Adorkable Angel.
Vebbins charged at Walsh and nailed him with a jumping clothesline. Walsh tried to get back up but ate a knee strike from Walsh. Vebbins incredibly pulled Walsh up by his belt and tossed him over head with an impressive release German suplex. Vebbins covered and got a two count.
At this point The Switchblade Angels made there way out from behind the curtain, Triad Championships in tow. The triad walked to the ring casually and the fans booed heavily, which caught the attention of Vebbins. SBA made their way to ringside and Vebbins shouted something inaudible at them. Vebbins then turned right into the Made of Nightmares from Walsh. Walsh covered and got the three count.
Winner: Lio Walsh
Walsh collected his championship and the members of SBA looked pleased with themselves as Vebbins laid on the canvas, down and out.
