The Dungeon At The Sanctum
Toronto, Ontario
∞PARKING LOT∞
The show began with an “Earlier Today…” pretape that showed Glitches General Manager Volkov arriving at the entrance to The Dungeon. Volkov tossed away his cigar and went to enter the building when the door swung open. Volkov did not look happy.
“Volkov does not recall assigning you to the security team Daniel.” Volkov said.
“No, you didn’t, but I wanted to catch you face to face right when you got here.” said Danny Hall, who was standing in the doorframe. “I want another shot at Zafar Khan. One on one. I want to show the world that he is not better than me.”
“Volkov would love to give you that opportunity, however, The Leadership has plans for both you and Khan that Volkov is not allowed to change. Volkov believes in the Grand Vision.” Volkov said.
“What exactly is The Grand Vision?” a voice called and the camera moved to show Zafar Khan standing behind Volkov. Although not medically cleared to wrestle, Khan promised to be at Glitches and he has made good on that vow.
“Volkov will admit, you coming here like this takes some serious myachi. But if it is a fight you are looking for, Volkov’s fighting days are behind him and Daniel has a match tonight. You will not get your fight here tonight Zafar.” Volkov said.
“I’m not here to fight either of you, I’m here to show you that I will not stay down. You can knock me down as many times as you want but I will always come back. If Hall wants to face me one on one, then I say let’s do it at Parts Unknown. I’ll be cleared by then.” Khan said, taking a step forward.
Volkov scoffed.
“Your problem with authority is cute Zafar but you really need to learn to listen. Your destiny is already planned at Parts Unknown, as is Daniels. You will not be facing each other one on one at Parts Unknown. Now I suggest you go find a seat to watch my show.” Volkov took a step forward, “Before I decide that I do not want you here.”
Khan and Volkov stared at each other for a moment and then Khan looked around Volkov and at Hall.
“I’ll be seeing you very soon. Best of luck tonight.” Khan said and the scene cut.
∞TAG TEAM MATCH∞
THE PENNY DREADFULS vs. THE VIXENS
The first match of the evening saw The Penny Dreadfuls sans Jackie Naught take on the debuting team of Nora Frost and Rachelle Ryder. Helena Handbasket started the match against Ryder. Handbasket flailed around the ring and Ryder couldn’t seem to get her hands on her opponent. Handbasket caught Ryder with some quick shots before climbing up to the top and hitting a rope walk chop.
Handbasket tagged in her partner Riley Rouse. Handbasket doubled Ryder over with an arm wrench and Rouse came off of the top rope with a double axe handle. Rouse tried for a springboard moonsault but Ryder sidestepped it and nailed Rouse with the Rollin’ Ryde (Leg Lariat). Instead of covering Ryder tagged in Frost.
Frost charged and smashed Rouse in the mush with a running knee strike and then attempted a jumping DDT but Rouse held Frost in the air and ran forward with a shoulder tackle into the Dreadfuls’ corner. Rouse tagged Handbasket back in and then charged across the ring knocking Ryder off of the apron. Handbasket smashed Frost with her Screw U! (Spinning Knee) and then Rouse cracked Frost with the Bored Now (Corkscrew Roundhouse Kick)! Handbasket covered and got the three count.
Winners: The Penny Dreadfuls
∞VIDEO PACKAGE∞
In a dimly lit area of The Dungeon a triad stood. They are easily identified as they each have a championship title in their possession. The Switchblade Angels each wear a different expression, Payton Darkstar looks like she would rather be somewhere else, Sara Cross looks demure, and Boots Martin is wearing an expression that screams smug.
“You know, I knew that we would take over this division but I really didn’t think it would be this easy. We have only had two matches as a Triad but already The Leadership is scrambling to find competition for us. So much so that they are letting people just bring in whomever they please to try and dethrone us.” Martin said and moved closer to the camera lens. “It won’t happen.”
Darkstar stepped forward to speak, “I lost to Azurine Vebbins. I lost and it is very hard to live with that. She can bring anyone in the galaxy to team with her and Talia because it will not matter. We are going to defend these championships and move forward on our grand journey.”
“We are looking forward to seeing which person you’ve selected to die alongside you Azurine.” Cross said, “We can’t wait for Frontline tomorrow night.”
∞SINGLES MATCH∞
GRAY KENDRICKS vs. JENNIFER ENIGMA
Second match of the evening saw Gray Kendricks not even enter the ring when Jennifer Enigma ran up from behind and smashed his face off of the ring apron. Enigma then climbed to the top rope and came down on top of Kendricks with a cross body. Enigma looked pretty pleased with herself as she rolled Kendricks back into the ring.
The referee checked on Kendricks but the strong willed rookie said that he was good to go. Enigma charged across the ring only for Kendricks to pop up and catch her with a jumping DDT. Kendricks kipped back up and grabbed Enigma by the head and went for a sliced bread but Enigma crotched him on the top rope. Enigma went for a top rope back suplex but Kendricks did a backflip and landed on his feet on the mat. Enigma quickly came off and caught him with a hurricanranna.
Enigma got Kendricks up but he cracked her with a kick to the side of the head. Enigma responded by hitting Kendricks with the Black Out (Standing Spinning Roundhouse Kick). Kendricks dropped but Enigma was quickly on top of him. She pulled him up and dropped him with Danse Macabre (Spinning Cyclone Unprettier). Enigma covered and got the three count.
Winner: Jennifer Enigma
∞VOLKOV’S DEN∞
Volkov was watching the event in his Den when Lio Walsh walked in, the Iron Championship slung over his shoulder. Volkov gave him a respectful nod but it was not returned.
“Is there something that Volkov can help you with Lio?” Volkov asked.
“I guess I want to know why you have decided to not have me on the show tonight. I am your champion, I should be the focus of every show.” Walsh said.
“Volkov understands that but know that every decision has a reason Lio. You are a key component in the Grand Vision and sometimes we need to save our assets. The Leadership has been happy with your reign as Iron Champion, however, we see more for you. That is why The Leadership had you on Frontline last week. The Iron Championship is the crown jewel of Glitches, that is true. But that does not mean that you are only to appear on this show.” Volkov said.
Volkov stepped forward and put a hand on Walsh’s shoulder.
“The Leadership is ready to see what you can do on a bigger stage at Parts Unknown. As for now I suggest you keep an eye on Camille in tonight’s main event. Perhaps you can find an advantage for your match in Montreal.”
Walsh smirked and walked out of frame, the wheels in his mind turning.
∞TRIAD MATCH∞
BRITISH ISLE BRAWLERS
vs.
LENA SKYE, MARILYN LEE CROSS, & ASHLEY CROSS
It was Triad time as Ash Fi, Meera Makara, and Morag Bean took on the Lena Skye, Marilyn Lee Cross and Sara Cross in their first time out as a team. Makara and Skye started the match with Skye charged Makara with a head of steam but Makara hit her with a palm strike to the nose. Skye rolled out and MLC entered the ring with a springboard meteora that took Makara down.
MLC kept Makara down with some big strikes before smashing Makara in the face with a shining wizard. MLC tagged in Cross who jumped into the ring and got Makara with a poison rana. Cross covered and got a two count. Makara rolled out of the ring and Fi reentered the ring hitting Cross with Cran Tabhaill (Springboard Corkscrew Roundhouse Kick). Fi covered and got a two count.
Cross slipped out of the ring and this allowed Skye to get back into the match, Klassen noted the lucha rules for this match. Skye ripped Fi around and planted her with the Skye Destroyer (Sit-Out Tombstone). Skye covered and got the three count.
Winners: Lena Skye, Marilyn Lee Cross, & Ashley Cross

∞SINGLES MATCH∞
AKEMI HAYASHI vs. TOMMY KAPSTONE w/ Kara Scene
Akemi Hayashi hit the ring and The Dungeon gave her a welcome reception. Tommy Kapstone walked to the ring accompanied by his Static Age partner Kara Scene and The Dungeon seemed like they’d rather see both of them in bodybags. Nice. The match started with Hayashi offering a hand to Kapstone but he just pulled her into a hard spinning back elbow.
“I do not believe that Kapstone is the kind of man who shakes hands.” Klassen said.
Kapstone kept Hayashi tied up in a corner with a few quick strikes and then backed out before he smashed her in the face with a rolling lariat. With Hayashi on the mat Kapstone climbed to the top rope and went for a moonsault knee bomb but Hayashi rolled out of the way, much to the delight of The Dungeon. Scene paced at ringside, looking like a caged tiger.
Kapstone tried to rush Hayashi but she hit him with SQUIRT! (Complete Shot into the Turnbuckle). Kapstone tried to rally back but that move hurt him bad. Kapstone tossed a punch but Hayashi evaded it and gave him a boot to the mid-section. Hayashi went for her Starflower (Twist of Fate) but Kapstone spun her around into the Ghostmaker (Stormbreaker) and covered her for the three count.
Winner: Tommy Kapstone
After the bell Kara Scene got into the ring with two mics and tossed a one to her buddy. Kapstone said, “One step forward...two steps back. That seems to be the motto of Static Age these days and I’m a little fucking tired of it. I am tired of being an afterthought.”
“We are artists. We are dangerous people who are capable of beautiful things. This canvas is a literal canvas to us because what we are capable of us creating a masterpiece. A symphony of violence. We have been distracted and we have lost focus.” Scene said.
Kapstone snarled, “Getting rid of Morgan was the first step. I don’t give a fuck if he wants to go place house with Alyssa Daniels. He isn’t our problem any more. We are going to refocus and redouble our efforts. A victory tonight was wonderful but is just a molehill.”
“Tomorrow we build the mountain. We will paint our masterpiece.” Scene said. The duo dropped their respective microphones and did their best mean faces to the camera.
∞INTERVIEW∞
Backstage Lena Skye, Marilyn Lee Cross, and Ashley Cross stood with Elysium Interviewer Kristie Steele. The trio did not look pleased at all.
“Ladies, tonight you were successful in your Triad debuts. What is next for all of you?” Steel asked.
“What’s next? What’s next is that we finish what started at Glitches One. Cassie Sykes thinks because she pals around with the Tag Team Champions that she is untouchable, that she can do whatever she pleases. We proved last week that she is dead wrong about that.” Skye said, “Our issues are not finished but we will finish this at Parts Unknown. I’ll leave my friends backstage if you do the same.”
The triad walked out of frame, leaving Steele doing the blank interviewer stare.
∞SINGLES MATCH∞
CASSIE SYKES w/ Marcus LeVine vs. PEACHES
This next one started off weird. Cassie Sykes hit the ring and the crowd booed her, for whatever reason the fans in The Dungeon despise her. You know who they don’t despise? Peaches. She came to the ring and you’d think it was the second coming.
The bell rang and the two locked up. Sykes got the upperhand and shot Peaches into the ropes and on Peaches return Sykes caught her with a brutal forearm smash. Peaches tried to rally back but Sykes nailed Peaches with a roundhouse kick that dazed Peaches long enough for Sykes to hit a snap German suplex. Sykes covered but Peaches kicked out at two.
“It is not often that Marcus LeVine accompanies Cassie Sykes to the ring. Perhaps she is worked about Lena Skye and her friends?” Bon Klassen said.
“It seems to me that Sykes invited that attention by attacking that trio...repeatedly.” Yuki Kita said.
Sykes begged Peaches on and Peaches charged at her. Sykes went for a lariat but Peaches ducked under it, hit the ropes and nearly cut Sykes in half with a spear. Sykes pulled herself up but Peaches called out to the audience and then drive Sykes head first into the mat with a reverse huricanranna.
All LeVine could do was look on as Peaches got Sykes up and went for the Peach Driver (Samoan Driver) but Sykes slipped out of it at the last second, Sykes looked over his shoulder and that millisecond lapse in judgement let Peaches catch Sykes with a leaping knee to the chin and then the Peach Driver. Peaches covered and got the three count.
Winner: Peaches
Peaches quickly got out of the ring as LeVine entered to console Sykes. Sykes shoved him away and demanded a microphone, furious about her loss.
“I know the game, I know how it works. I attacked Sykes and her two idiot friends, they did the same to me. Fine. You twats got in my head and it cost me this match. You said that this isn’t over and I fucking agree. So let’s end it. I’ll see you at Parts Unknown. You three weren’t meant to be this big of a problem.” Sykes said.
Sykes tossed down the microphone and left the ring, LeVine following and shaking his head.
∞SINGLES MATCH∞
CAMILLE HARRINGTON vs. DANNY HALL
Just before the main event got underway Zafar Khan made his way to ringside and posted up at the announce table next to Bon Klassen and Yuki Kita. Kita welcomed Khan but Klassen looked extremely apprehensive.
“Y--you’re not supposed to be out here!” Klassen said.
“Hey man Volkov told me to find somewhere to watch the show. This is the best seat in the house. Plus Danny Hall came out and watched my Hybrid Championship match last week, I figured that this makes just as much sense.” Khan said.
“The Chi-Town Striker” Camille Harrington came out to a big ovation and “The Obsession” Danny Hall came out to...less of one. The bell rang and Harrington came out of the gate swinging. Harrington peppered Hall with rights and lefts to the body that backed him into the corner. Hall tried to cover up but Harrington was all over him.
“Danny Hall is not looking great in these opening moments.” Kita said.
“Just wait. I’ve been in the ring with him. Camille Harrington is as tough as they come but Hall is a snake, he’ll find a way to get an advantage.” Khan replied.
Hall caught Harrington with an eye poke that sent her staggering. Hall charged and hit Harrington with a chop block and then kicked her in the mid-section. Hall looked over to Khan and then planted Harrington with a jumping piledriver. Hall covered but Harrington was able to kick out.
Hall took hold of Harrington’s hand and again he glanced over at Khan. Hall went to snap Harrington’s fingers but she grabbed his wrist and took him over with a fireman’s carry before attempting the Chi-Raq Clench (Seated Fujiwara Arm Bar) but Hall slipped out of it to the outside.
Harrington charged and went for a suicide dive to the outside but Hall caught her with an uppercut. Harrington found herself draped over the middle rope. Hall grabbed Harrington and hit her with a ddt from the apron out onto the floor that caused everyone in The Dungeon to wince.
“A devastating move from Danny Hall! That may have knocked Harrington out cold.” Klassen said.
Hall paraded around ringside, soaking in the hatred from The Dungeon. Hall then approached the announce table and slammed his hands down, starring a hole through Khan. Khan just stared right back at him. Harrington got back to her feet and Hall spun around to look at her. Hall charged at Harrington and got hit with drop toe hold that sent Hall face first into the apron.
“Hall should be focussed on the task at hand.” Khan said.
Harrington rolled Hall back into the ring but she was still rocked from that DDT. Harrington entered the ring but because of her head injury Hall was able to strike first and roll Harrington up. Harrington kicked out at two but the referee separated them in order to check on Harrington. Hall saw his opportunity and slid out of the ring to collect a steel chair.
“Oh I don’t think so.” Khan said.
Khan got up from the announce table and jogged over to Hall. Khan grabbed the chair and the two had a tug of war that got the referee’s attention. The referee tried to stop the struggle and at that moment a figure came running down the aisle.
“That’s the Iron Champion Lio Walsh!” Kita exclaimed.
Walsh slid into the ring and blasted Harrington in the head with the Iron Championship before sliding out of the ring. Hall saw this out of the corner of his eye so he released the chair and held up his hands. Hall then slid back into the ring and hit a running kick to the side of Harrington’s head. Hall got Harrington up and dropped her with The Trendsetter (Belly to Back Piledriver). Hall covered and secured the three count.
Winner: Danny Hall
Following the match Hall charged and went for a dive through the ropes but Khan sent him face first into the barricade. Hall quickly got back up but looked to escape through the crowd. Khan was in hot pursuit as the two disappeared into the crowd.
The referee checked on Harrington and called for EMTs as Lio Walsh stood at the top of the ramp with his Iron Championship held high. That was it for Glitches Five.
