Frontline - November 5th, 2017 [Results]

Cut to the backstage area of the Moda Center where we see Erik Holland entering the arena flanked by Tiami Erickson and Seth Gile. The Badd Breed is in the building. As they make their way through the backstage area they suddenly come to a stop and spread out blocking off the hallway. The camera now pans out to reveal that standing right in front of them is K-Remix. He has his hands up ready for what might happen.

Erik Holland: Whoa, I don't think it's going to come to that.

K-Remix: Excuse the reflexes but after getting jumped practically every week. You tend to be ready to go at all times.

Erik Holland: Cage and Corvin? Those two are as cheap and dirty as they come. However that's a different conversation for a different day. For now what you need to know is that I'm watching you.

K-Remix: Oh? Making a list? Checking it twice? Going to find out who's naughty and nice? Gilgamesh is coming to town? That sort of thing?

Seth Gile: Show some respect!

Holland raises his hand and shakes his head.

Erik Holland: Calm down Seth.

Holland turns his attention back to K-Remix.

Erik Holland: And you. You really don't take anything serious unless you're inside of the ring, do you? That's alright, I can work with that.

K-Remix: Work with..... Huh?

Erik Holland: I told you that I have my eye on you. The Breed has it's eyes on you. A transcendent talent that is finding success in multiple federations. It only makes sense that a talent like that would join a transcendent stable that succeeds in multiple federations. This stable, this movement, MY Breed. It's a lot bigger than just Elysium. You should keep that in mind while you're deciding if you want to be part of it or not. It's a decision that could have severe ramifications for you in the future if you choose incorrectly.

Tiami Erickson: Because the future belongs to the Badd.

Holland, Gile, and Erickson now move past K-Remix. They leave him standing there a lone in the hallway with an unsure expression on his face.

Cut to ringside where Undeniable by Seckond Chaynce begins blaring throughout the arena. There's no production or pyro like usual. Just K-Remix emerging from the back still in his street clothes. He stops at the top of the ramp to hit a quick dab. Then he plays to the crowd as he makes his way down to the ring and grabs a mic.

K-Remix: I've got to say that this is an odd feeling. This is the first time since Elysium started that I wasn't booked in a match. Perhaps Godless thought that what Lord Varys did to my skull was going to keep me down? Twas but a scratch. I don't get concussions! My head concussed the chair!

Cheers and laughter from the crowd.

K-Remix: Seriously though, despite Dr. Evil's repeated attempts to rob me of my mojo. I would have been perfectly fine to compete tonight. A little blood and a couple stitches ain't stopping the little Remix that could. That however doesn't change the fact that ole Dr. Evil keeps right on trying. The good doctor is dead set on trying to sabotage every opportunity I get in Elysium. On top of that, if he isn't personally involved. Then you can bet that Number 2 is. Second in command, ex lover, current lover, or whatever the hell Jonathan Cage is. I don't care which it is but it's quite obvious that this whole situation needs to come to an end. However it's not that simple. Old necrotic hands clutching at me at every turn like a zombie horde. That is a problem. I need to bury these remnants of a bygone era and put them out of their misery. Yet at the same time I'm looking towards the future.

The fans pop and start chanting “Badd”. K-Remix grins and shakes his head.

K-Remix: That is a conversation for another day. Old guys, just know that you're on the list but you're not worthy of being at the top of it. Not yet, but your time is coming. The immediate future goes a little something like this. I believe that I deserve to be in contention for Erik Holland's World Championship. HOWEVER! The contendership situation for that title is so convoluted that that who knows how long I'll be waiting for my shot. There is another championship I've had my eye on though. A title that shows you're on your way to the top of the pecking order. A title that's specifically there to help mold future World Champions. I think we all know where I'm going with this. MATHIS! CARTEL! GODLESS! At Hallowed Ground I want a shot at the Hybrid Championship and I'm going to win it.

K-Remix drops the mic in the center of the ring and holds his hands in the air. The fans cheer as Undeniable by Seckond Chaynce starts to play while Remix makes his exit.

Elysium backstage correspondent Bon Klassen stands backstage in front of a large screen that has the Frontline signature on an infinite loop.

Bon Klassen: Well, ladies and gentlemen, joining me once again, the Elysium Iron Champion, Anthony Xavier.

The camera looks around, but there's no Xavier to be seen.

Bon Klassen: What? I'm pretty positive he was here just a couple of seconds a-

Bon gets interrupted by a loud bang.

Bon Klassen: Holy mother of God!

A cloud of smoke covers the backstage area. Suddenly, Anthony Xavier shows up, wearing a very elaborate medieval wizard's costume.

Anthony Xavier: Ha-ha! *cough-cough* Sure enough, you were not expecting that, Bon Klassen! *cough*

Bon Klassen: Jesus, dude! You scared me just a lil' bit there!

Anthony Xavier: Just a little bit? Really?

Bon Klassen: Alright, a lot!

Anthony Xavier: Now we're cooking! Two weeks ago, I just walked right in, but this week? Ohhh no! I had to come out WITH A BANG!

Bon Klassen: So... You took that literally, it seems... Now, what's the deal with the costume?

Anthony Xavier: Well, considering Halloween was just a couple of days ago, and I love fun, and I'm the Submission Magician, of course, I guess that's a loud duh, am I right? I'm not gonna wear it in the ring, of course. This is a big match, and no tomfoolery shall be allowed, Bon!

Bon Klassen: I'll take your word on that, now, how are you feeling about this match?

Anthony Xavier: Well, as always, I'm pretty pumped to be here, as always, trying to defend the gold, right? This is the second time I'll do it, and trust me: I don't plan on letting this bad boy get away from me any time soon.

Bon Klassen: Yeah, you said that last week, too, and you succeeded. So, how do yu feel about your opponent, Tiami Erickson?

Anthony Xavier: Well, you could clearly see that she's very talented, and she happened to claim to be an Iron Woman, so I guess I'll have to put that to the test. Now, as I also said last week, the Iron Championship match has a very particular set of rules, so that means I'll have to be looking out there, just in case some... unwanted visitors happen to show up.

Bon Klassen: What do you mean?

Anthony Xavier: Alright, let me tell you something that happened earlier today, as I was entering the arena, I was doing the standard thing I'd do, y'know, signing up autographs, saying hi to people, and a kid with a very noticeable shirt comes up to me and yells: 'You stink Xavier, the Badd Breed will kick your... ahem, ass!'

Bon Klassen: Eww, that's... Inappropriate, I guess?

Anthony Xavier: Of course it is, Bon. The idea that a young man like that can just show up like that, supporting villains like the Badd Breed, it's quite... something, right? Poor role models, indeed. Not respecting anyone, teaching terrible manners to the children. Now, part of being a wrestler is being someone people look up to, no matter what, and there couldn't be a worse example of what not to do than the Badd Breed. But no need to worry, Bon. Tonight I'll take care of Tiami Erickson and any other breeder that might try to show up, and I'll show them what a real champion looks like.

Bon Klassen: Well, good luck tonight, champ.

Anthony Xavier: Thank you for such kind words, Bon. Now, if you excuse me, this beard is really itchy. Goodbye!

The camera pans over the crowd as Frontline returns. The fans are on their feet, anxiously awaiting more action. Suddenly, “Radio” by Wolfmother begins to play and after a few moments "The Infinity Warrior" Kevin Moss steps out onto the stage. The fans welcome him with a huge pop. He is wearing a gold Rolex and dressed in a custom suit with the SKYFIRE Championship over his shoulder. There are tons of fans cheering for “The Infinity Warrior," but Kevin doesn't return his usual smile. He seems to be all business as he walks straight towards the ring.

Thad Balk: Ladies and Gentlemen, "The Infinity Warrior" is here and doesn't seem to be in a very good mood.

He climbs the steel steps and gets onto the apron, pausing briefly before entering the ring. Kevin gestures to the ring announcer who passes him a microphone through the ropes. He motions to the back to cut his music.

Kevin Moss: Thank you for the love, but I'm not my usual self tonight. I think everyone can guess why I am out here. At our last show, I reached out to someone that I considered to be a friend and they attacked me in return.

The fans boo.

Kevin Moss: The person I'm referring to is F.M. Young and I know she's listening right now. I don't know how things are handled around here, but where I come from that's an invitation to fight. I'll be damned if I let that happen with no response, so listen to me very closely, Young. I've made a career out of dealing with cowards like you. I have put a lot of people in their place after shit like that. I opened my training facility and welcomed you with open arms. You made a huge mistake by attacking me. A huge mistake.

The fans start cheering in support of Moss as he adjusts the title on his shoulder.

Kevin Moss: I could just as easily return the favor. I could sit around backstage, waiting for an opportunity to jump her, but that's not the kind of man that I am. Instead, I took this issue to those who book the matches in Elysium. Now, I know Hallowed Ground is right around the corner and it takes place in my backyard of Los Angeles. So I thought, what better place to settle this little issue? So I asked for a match, one on one, with F.M. Young and guess what? My request was approved.

The fans go crazy as Moss builds momentum.

Kevin Moss: Consider this your warning, Young. You wanna take a low road with me? You want to disrespect "The Infinity Warrior," the SKYFIRE Championship, and the fans of this sport? Well, you'll have to answer for your actions when we meet at Hallowed Ground! Believe me, this isn't going to be like one of our training sessions. I'm coming to knock your head off.

Kevin pulls the microphone away from his mouth and catches his breath.

Kevin Moss: What you failed to realize is that during our time training together, I got a very good sense of what you're capable of and what your limitations are. I know you might be exercising some new demons, but unless you've dramatically upped your skills, it's going to be a rough night for you on November 19th. Bring your new attitude, your mean streak, and that piece of crap that represents you. When all is said and done, you'll be the one laid out after coming face to face with "The Infinity Warrior." Make sure you wear a mouth-guard, because after you get hit with the Forever Blast, you'll never look the same again.

Moss drops the microphone as his music begins playing once again.

Thad Balk: There it is, folks. Kevin Moss asked for a match with F.M. Young and now these two will meet in a few weeks at Hallowed Ground! I can't wait for that one.

The scene fades.

The cameras cut to the back as Yuki Kita is standing beside Ryleigh Mathis as she is gearing up for her big match.

Yuki Kita: Ryleigh, how nervous are you for tonight?

Ryleigh looks at Yuki.

Ryleigh Mathis: Is that the best you got? What’s next you going to ask me about being the underdog. Well let me be the first to burst your bubble. I’m not nervous. I am confident that I will walk out of this crummy city as the new Hybrid champion.

Yuki half heartedly nods her head as Ryleigh notices.

Ryleigh Mathis: Do you have a problem?

Yuki shakes her head.

Yuki Kita: No

Ryleigh looks at her while shaking her head.

Ryleigh Mathis: You are pathetic just like Elina.

Ryleigh walks out of the shot as Yuki is left standing there.

Two voices are arguing behind a closed door. The door, at that moment, has become slightly ajar and the voices are that of Jonathan Cage and his daughter Cheyenne Black.

Jonathan Cage: Why did you accept this on MY behalf? You had no business doing that shit.

Cheyenne Black: I HAD to do something to get the shit to stop. I'm so tired of seeing you two fight. So I took it upon myself to accept that match. I hope that it will finally put an end to your issues with each other.

Jonathan Cage: I want this to stop too but not this way. You shouldn't have gotten involved. I knew this shit would happen.

Jonathan starts to walk away.

Cheyenne Black: But Daddy...

Jonathan places a hand up before continuing his walk out the door of the locker room. Cheyenne walks up to the door and looks around to see if her father is gone. She then pulls out her cell phone and dials an unknown number.

Cheyenne Black: It's done. See you soon.

She hangs up the phone and closes the door.

The camera shoots to the backstage area and finds the terribly awesomely beautiful face of Sarah Lacklan, her traditional black eyeliner wings helping her odd red eyes stand out.

Sarah Lacklan:: It is time, ladies and gentlemen, for the TRUE main event of the evening. And not some silly wrestling match fought over by puppies too low on the card to garner your attention for longer than it takes to purchase some popped corn. No! The TRUE main event where I, the Red Queen of the Elysium Fields, grace your presence. However, it should be noted, that the Red Queen is DONE with the parlour tricks of those who would defile my glorious victories over MISTER CRAY CRAY. The Red Queen is DONE with random dude jumping me during matches who, apparently, are so much NINJA that they can even sneak music to the production team and have them play it. The Red Queen is DONE with half-assed thought out “stables” who simply exists to be arm candy or butt buddies. The Red Queen is DONE!

A scepter, the end hand circled into a fist and covered in blood, sweeps in front of the camera and her face.

Sarah Lacklan:: And so the Red Queen comes...she comes! With a Red Army! The Red Queen comes...she comes! With a Red Throne. The Red Queen comes...she comes! With...REDD THUNDER!

The camera pans downward to show that Sarah is sitting atop the massive shoulders of the behemoth known as REDD THUNDER. The masked giant walks forward as Beethoven’s “Moonlight Sonata” plays across the P.A.

The camera switches to the stage. Sarah basks in the glory of the crowd as she rides the mountainous shoulders of her fellow Original Eighter. She brandishes her scepter at any who would have a cross word towards her, and holds onto her majestic steed as THUNDER climbs the steps of the ring and climbs up and over the top rope. She rests upon his shoulders, high above the world atop her throne, and waits for MISTER CRAY CRAY.

And she doesn't have to wait long.

The lights vanish. The crowd is on their feet, wondering what is going on.


After a few long moments, a pulsating and punishing salvo of Fear Factory's guitars and drums assault every one of our senses, with strobe lights blazing in time in red and white. We can see the silhouette of Erik Holland on the top of the stage, pacing back and forth, shaking his head, arguing with himself, tugging at his hair, generally just working himself and the crowd into a frenzy before he stomps toward the ring at an accelerated pace.


The strobes stop and explode into a cacophony of red and white searchlights as Erik Holland is seen fully now, yelling about what violent things he's going to do as he bounces from one side of the entrance ramp to the other, pinging off the crowd like a pinball.


He arrives at ringside and circles the ring one and a half times before jumping on the apron facing the hard camera, staring out to the vast expanse in a crouch before he ducks through the ropes into the ring. He slows to a stop having seen all this pomp and circumstance and seems a little bit...confused? Annoyed? I mean, Erik's ALWAYS been annoyed..

Erik Holland: What...what?

The World Champ's brain broke, I think. And all the way, this time. He walks over to the completely still REDD THUNDER, poking the big man in the chest who doesn't seem to register it at all.

Erik Holland: You got one of the Original 8 from Elysium to come back and...what? Be your Radio Flyer? The little wagon you ride around on so you can feel important?

Holland is pretty immediately demonstrating that he's not a fan of this. He holds up the championship on his shoulder, looking at the faceplate.

Erik Holland: I dunno, Lacklan...THIS makes ME feel pretty important.

He smiles slyly, as the crowd cheers. Holland now turns and looks down the ramp.

Erik Holland: Get Godless out here, I wanna' get this signed and be done with it.

With that there is a pause and then the camera pans over to the announce area where Thad Balk stands. Balk adjusts his suit, does up his top button and enters the ring with a briefcase and a microphone. Stage hands enter the ring and set up a table which separates Holland from Lacklan and THUNDER. By the time Balk is through the ropes, the table is set up.

Thad Balk: Sorry to disappoint you both but Mr. Godless is unable to conduct this contract signing and he has requested that I do it in his stead.

Balk puts the briefcase on the table, opens it and withdraws a clipboard complete with some documents. We can see the Hallowed Ground logo but that is about it. Balk also pulls out two pens.

Thad Balk: Before we have you two sign this contract, I have been requested to give you each some time to share your thoughts on this match and your rivalry so far. We will start with Mrs. Lacklan.

Sarah offers up one of her legendary exaggerated eye rolls, the type of eye roll that makes your OWN eyes hurt just by looking at it. She puts the mic back up to her smokin' hot lips, painted ruby red to match her eyes, and stares down at the peasants from atop her REDD throne.

Sarah Lacklan:: The "rivalry-"

She uses big time "Mil Air Quotes" with her fingers.

Sarah Lacklan:: -is a sham. The only rivalry I have been involved in is when trying to debate who is cuter...K-Remix or Elina! This "rivalry" has simply been me busting my sweet booty every week and showing the entire freakin' WORLD that *I* am the genetically superior all of badass albino rage and MISTER CRAY CRAY is a dude who basically got a bye in the first round of the tournament and was WAY fresh when we fought in the final. This "rivalry" is him trying to stay ZOMG BADASS while *I* beat down two of Elysium's BEST to become #1 contender. This "rivalry" has been me being seconds away from making him go NIGHT-NIGHT and ONLY retaining his title because some douchebag decided to get all artsy-fartsy on us and drop petals. This "rivalry" is a joke! And I will put this rivalry to bed at Hallowed Ground! I will END THIS just MINUTES away from my summer home in sunny SoCal. *I* will go BROADWAY and stand tall as the Elysium Champion!

Holland's been pacing back and forth around his half of the ring as he listens to Lacklan rant from atop REDD THUNDER. When she stops, he stops, a confused look on his face.

Erik Holland: You really don't get it do you, Sarah?

REDD Thunder begins to approach, and Holland holds out a hand.

Erik Holland: Back the fuck up, Tons of Fun, before I kick a field goal with that football sized head of yours. I ain't talkin' to you.

Little crowd pop there, before Holland continues staring up at Lacklan.

Erik Holland: This could have been DONE at Wideawake. When you needed overtime to TRY to beat me after we went to war for the 60 minute time limit, and you couldn't get it done. This also coulda' been done at FRONTLINE, were it not for Tuxedo Mask or whoever the fuck hit the ring and disrupted our match. You're gonna' keep making excuses and hand waving and trying to misrepresent to these good people of Elysium..

Erik makes a gesture behind him.

Erik Holland: Why you cannot measure up to me. See, the Broadway Match is perfect for me, for both of us, cuz' aint any EXCUSES that can be had when this starts. For sixty minutes, Lacklan, there won't be any more begrudging respect based on our ability. There won't be thoughts of closing perhaps the most classic rivalry in Elysium's short history.

Erik shakes his head, keeping the belt steady on his arm with his free hand.

Erik Holland: Nah. Nothin' like that. For sixty minutes I'm going to treat you like garbage, sister. It's going to be the worst hour of your entire career and the worst night of your entire life. In ways I cannot even begin to quantify. And it's for one simple reason.

He holds up the championship high enough for Lacklan to get a REAL good look at it.

Erik Holland: THIS. I deserve this. I busted my ASS for this. I went through a one-night tournament against great competition, GREAT competition--INCLUDING you--and beat you ALL to take this. I went through more pain and punishment in one night than anybody should have to deal with in their lifetime! But then, I've made a damn CAREER out of doing that, Lacklan.

The camera right at that point gets a close up shot of Erik's exposed shoulder, where some pretty ugly scars reside.

Erik Holland: So now this WILL end, and it WILL end at Hallowed Ground. After sixty minutes, you're gonna' be in pain, you're gonna be in agony, you may well be bleeding at the end. I know if I have to bleed to keep this, I will. But when it's over...Sarah..

Whoa. The very first time that Erik's used her first name as he gets almost nose to nose with REDD THUNDER, and I guess by extension Lacklan.

Erik Holland: You're finally, GLORIOUSLY, going to admit the one thing that I believe in, and that I will never STOP believing in.

There's that shark-like grin.

Erik Holland: Erik Holland is BETTER than Sarah Lacklan.

Erik backs up, turning his head towards Balk.

Erik Holland: Now. Gimme' the fuckin' contract.

Balk hands the contract to Holland and the champion signs it. Holland then looks up at Lacklan and does the “come hither” gesture. Lacklan taps her finger on the top of REDD THUNDER’s head and THUNDER sets her down on her feet.

Holland throws the contract at Lacklan but she catches it. THUNDER steps forward and double fist smashes the table in the center. Holland doesn’t flinch. Lacklan reaches back with a hand on THUNDER’s chest, calming him. Lacklan then signs the contract and hands it to Balk, her eyes staying locked with Hollands.

Thad Balk: Ladies and gentlemen the match is now official. “The Red Queen” Sarah Lacklan will challenge “The Weapon of Human Design” Erik Holland for the Elysium Pro Wrestling World Championship in a Broadway Match on November 19th in Los Angeles, California at Hallowed Ground. Good luck to both of you.

Portland pops in unison as Balk steps back. Holland and Lacklan come face to face, Holland holding the championship high between them. Neither competitor looks away, they stare into each other’s souls as Frontline comes to a close.
