It’s a bright, sunny day in Los Angeles, California as Ryleigh Mathis is walking down the sidewalk in designer jeans, a t-shirt and her converse. Her blonde hair is tucked up underneath her cap and her newly won Hybrid Championship belt is displaced over her right shoulder. Her stablemates Liza and Madison were busy getting a training session in so Ryleigh decided to take in the sights.
”There is just something about LA that makes you think about life. Life is a funny thing. Let’s take Frontline 4 for example. Everyone had me written down as the underdog. They thought I’d just fall on my sword and give up. Well this Championship on my shoulder says otherwise. While everyone doubted me, I knew that Elina Cartel didn’t stand a chance in hell. Maybe that’s me being cocky but it’s true. Ever since I first signed to Elysium, I told the world that Uprising was coming. I told you all that we were coming and yet no one believed me.”
Ryleigh stops at a local shop along the strip as she looks through the merchandise.
”I wonder what is really going through that hallow head of yours Remix. It really must burn you up that in my fourth match, I not only headlined Frontline 4 but I walked out as the one thing you couldn’t be. Do you know what that is Remix? It’s something you want so badly but have yet to obtain. Yet, you continue to run your mouth about being better when you couldn’t even beat Sarah Lacklan. So tell me Remix, if you couldn’t beat her then what makes you think you can beat me. Did you know that I am faster than her? Did you know that I hit harder? Don’t believe me. Ask Elina when she finally wakes up. I don’t know what’s worse. Remix wasting so much oxygen trying to convince himself that I’m the underdog or that I really have a knack for hurting people.”
Ryleigh picks up a trinket, looks at it before putting it back down.
”When is Remix going to get it through his head, I am the champ which means he HAS to beat me. I really don’t have to beat him. I will beat him because that’s what I do. I beat people. This belt is proof that I will go through anything just to achieve my goal. Now that I have, imagine what I will do just to keep it. Remix has no idea who he is in the ring with on Sunday. His world will come crashing down around him when I crush his jaw with a hard elbow shot. He can think that I’m the underdog but he will find out how wrong his assumptions are after the dust clears.”
Ryleigh ignores a young fan trying to get her autograph. Ryleigh laughs.
”I can just picture it now. Remix enters Hallowed Ground with hopes of winning this belt. He was so confident that just called for it instead of earning it. At first, he will hit me with everything he’s got expecting me to back down. When he thinks the match is over, is when I takeover. I won’t give away my strategy. Just know that Remix will once again find himself on his back. So Remix, you can tweet everything your heart desires because it won’t make a difference. Because I’m the one who will walk in and walk right back out as the EPW Hybrid Champion. It’s like I always say, NO GUTS NO GLORY. See ya on Sunday bitch face.”

Let’s straighten this out from the jump Ryleigh. I don't envy the hand you’ve been dealt. Still you bout to get slumped by me. Because I’m a champion while you’re just holding a belt.
Does K-Remix have bars? HE DO! My rap prowess aside, I meant every word of that. I truly feel for you Ryleigh. As Rubeus Hagrid would say… YOU’RE A STOPGAP RYLEIGH! Still, nobody can take away the fact that you beat Elina Cartel. The part that you’re struggling with is this. No, everything isn't suddenly different because of it. I told this to Jonathan Cage when he was bitching about nobody respecting him as a champion. I’m going to say the same thing to you now. A TITLE IS ONLY AS RESPECTED AS THE MOTHERFUCKING PERSON HOLDING IT!
The amount of people who respect you? ZERO! Sorry sweetie but a championship isn't a power ring. You don’t see Erik Holland running around in a green leotard do you? Heard anything about The Green Gilgamesh fighting crime on the news? No, you haven’t because that’s not how it works. Winning the Hybrid Championship didn't change you from basic bitch to Super Basic Bitch. You didn't all of a sudden morph into a different person than we've seen for the past few months. You’re still the same woman who lost to SHIDO. Still the same woman who somehow got outsmarted by Jake Archer. Definitely still the woman who cuts promos but doesn't really say shit.
You aren't a different Ryleigh Mathis all of a sudden. What did happen is that you were in the right place at the right time. As much as I hate to give Ashe Corvin any kind of credit. Elina Cartel hasn't been the same since Corvin did a number on her noggin. As a matter of fact if you paid attention like I do then you'd be well aware of that. However, I already know that you don't pay attention like I do. So, let me spell it out for you. Elina Cartel has only managed to win one out of the four matches she had after her concussion. It wasn't hard to see that the post concussion Elina Cartel wasn't the REAL Elina Cartel. I'm actually curious if she was cleared by doctors because she was healthy. Or if she was cleared by doctors because she was a two federation champion and the right palms got greased. Regardless Ryleigh, the real Elina Cartel wasn't like you. Since, you know, she actually beat good wrestlers. The Elina Cartel that you faced for that title was an Elina Cartel that the majority of the Elysium roster would have been able to put away.
I know what some of you are saying. “K-Remix didn't Deus make a similar argument against you?” You're right. Deus did bring up the fact that I dominated a couple opponents who were shells of their former selves. However, there are some key differences between my resume and Ryleigh Mathis' resume. In this federation I've clashed with the titans. I won some and as Ryleigh was quick to point out, I lost some. However, I proved each and every time I stepped inside that ring that I deserved respect. After all, one guy has managed to pin me in Elysium. That would be Erik Holland, the World Champion. Something Ms. Mathis doesn't seem to understand. Did I beat Sarah Lacklan? No. But technically she didn't beat me either. She pinned Jake Archer, the same Jake Archer that pinned Ryleigh Mathis. Wait, but she's faster than Lacklan right? She hits harder than Lacklan too right? Well that doesn't really make much sense if she couldn't beat somebody that Lacklan did. The moral of the story is Ryleigh Mathis is full of shit and if you'd like further proof….
“I dominated Jake Archer to the point he has to resort to a desperate act to win.”
That's what Reyleigh Mathis had to say after losing to Jake Archer. Then she went on to have Madison Fitzpatrick get involved in her match with Elina Cartel. Let me say it one more time because it needs to be said. SHE'S FULL OF FUCKING SHIT! She complains about how Archer beat her but having Fitzpatrick help her against a shell of Elina Cartel? Perfectly fine. Yet, it's me who has to convince myself of things? Reyliegh when you lost it was because Jake Archer cheated. When you get help and end up winning? You're now suddenly a world beater. Sweetie, in Elysium your ONLY wins have come against people who were shells of their former selves. Actually can you even consider Seth Gile as being a shell of his former self? He has barely had a pulse since his Iron Championship match. I mean his only win in Elysium was against a guy who isn't even on the Elysium roster. Top quality competition you beat there Ryleigh. And that somehow made you worthy of getting a shot at a weakened Elina Cartel. As we all know, the rest is history. Ryleigh, you've done nothing but win two matches against sub par competition in Elysium. Please excuse me if I don't bow down and acknowledge your greatness.
The truth of the matter is that you do NEED to beat me. Aside from the fact that it's the only way you'll keep the Hybrid Championship. Well, unless you think having Madison get you disqualified will save you. Which you probably are thinking but at the end of the day you still NEED to beat me. I'm not going to stop coming for you if you get disqualified. You don't want that. As a matter of fact that's the last thing that you want. So, actually beating me is the only way you're going to get rid of me. And it's the only way you're going to prove that you deserve that title. Good luck with that.

Respect.
That was the one word K-Remix said before the same shit that everyone says about me. I was going to blast him but then I got to thinking. Why should I care about a dumb twat who couldn’t win when it mattered most. I think he is a tad bit jealous that I done something that he couldn’t do by himself. The guy keeps calling himself a champion and yet he isn’t one. So tell me Remix, who in the hell do you think you are?
You talk about respect and yet you don’t know the meaning of the word. Your entire promo was built on this one track story that everyone seems to hone in on. Yes, I did lose to Shido. I did get cheated by Jake Archer. However you completely overlooked looked my win over Erik Holland’s best friend. Did you forget about that one? Or were you just going to harp on my losses?
The only wins you have are against two old guys and a robot. That says a lot about you. Yet, you got beat by Holland and Lacklan. Which makes me wonder why I should believe anything that comes out of your mouth. The fact you are discrediting what I did at Frontline 4 proves that you aren’t a champion. You are just a bitter shithole who can’t believe that I knocked out Elina Cartel BY MYSELF.
I know you are going to say I needed help. What help? Elina attacked Madison unprovoked. Madison wasn’t even a factor. Before you go spewing more shit that isn’t backed by facts. Elina took her eye off the ball. She underestimated me and I made her pay for it. You might want to rewatch the footage. Otherwise, you’ll end up right next to her.
Back to the respect thing. You said ZERO people respect me. Again, you think I care that people respect me. Do you honestly think I give two fucks about what you or everyone says? The answer is NO. Why? Because I am the champion. I EARNED this accolade because I bust my ass every fucking day. To you, this is just some accessory. Not to me. This belt is the result of all the hard work that I have worked hard for since I got into this business. I didn’t need people kissing the ground I walked on like some mindless drone. I never gave a fuck and that hasn’t changed.
What has changed about me is that instead of blabbing my gums like someone who can’t quite get passed the idea that he isn’t the best. Hell, Remix you are far from the best. You are just an overrated carnival clown who couldn’t hack has a disc jockey. You are just a pathetic excuse of a human. You know nothing even when you think you do. I am faster. I hit harder. I am focused on my task at hand. I’m not looking down the road. I’m not making plans for some stupid party. My only plan involves me kicking your ass all over Los Angeles.
You are wrong. I don’t NEED to beat you. I don’t HAVE to beat you. I WANT to beat you. Because I want to prove to the entire world that K-Remix is a fucking fraud. I will prove that when it comes to fighting REAL talent that he is all talk. The amount of frustration I have will be channeled into my strikes. I plan on smashing every bone in your face. You have no idea who I am Remix. You think I’m just some rookie you can bully. Well I am not. I’m a scrappy New Yorker who knows how to fight when I’m backed into a corner.
Dont focus on Madison. She won’t get involved because that’s not her style. You HAVE to beat me. You NEED to beat me Remix. Not just to save face to all those who you think respects you but to make yourself relevant again.
You are in for a fight Remix. A fight you didn’t want because I am dangerous. You should have your medical insurance up to date because after Hallowed Ground. You will be lying on your back just looking up at my hand held high. I walk in and walk out still Hybrid Champion. How is that possible? Because I’m Ryleigh fucking Mathis.
I wont quit. I won’t give up. No guts, No Glory.
See you on Sunday.

Mind Games - A series of deliberate actions or responses planned for psychological effect on another. Typically for amusement or competitive advantage.
It has recently come to my attention that I may be too good at this. You see, when I fired off a few tweets in Ryleigh Mathis’ direction. Our Elysium World Champion took it upon himself to step in. His words of advice were for me to never underestimate an opponent. Good advice, however that wasn’t what I was doing. So, even our World Champion wasn’t able to see what my end game was. Oh I get it, I’m the funny guy so everybody takes what I say at face value. They don’t stop and think of why it is that I’m saying what I’m saying. Or why it is I’m doing what I’m doing. Surely there’s no ulterior motives. I could never orchestrate something like that because I’m just the funny guy.
The tweets I sent out to Mathis all had a purpose. Well, aside from me just straight up punch-lining her life away. I didn’t send those out because I was underestimating her. It’s actually the direct opposite. I went back and I watched every promo she did in Elysium. Then I went back and watched every match she had in Elysium. My findings? Ryleigh Mathis has Deus Syndrome. If you push her buttons then she responds with anger. She responds irrationally and she’s more prone to making mistakes. The tweets I sent out, I sent out KNOWING that it was going to get her riled up. Just like how I knew what I said in my last promo would get her riled up. This couldn’t be further from underestimation. This is a complete and total understanding of EXACTLY who my opponent is. This was a tactical strike in order to get her to respond EXACTLY how I wanted her to. Know thy self, know thy enemy. A thousand battles, a thousand victories.
Hold on, is the funny guy quoting Sun Tzu now? He is. What exactly do you people think I am? Do you think it’s all dabbing all the time? You see, that’s where you’ve got me fucked up. When I say I’m the Swag King Supreme or the King of Swag Style. That doesn’t mean that I’m all flash and no substance. It means that I get the job done but I also have fun doing it. Not only that but I make this shit look good. So, how bout you open your minds. Read between the lines. And try to keep up with what the funny guy is actually doing. Backslash overly serious promo opening.
Now, how bout that Ryleigh Mathis? She sure sounded calm, cool, and collected didn’t she? Riiiight. This chick is shooketh! She’s more shooketh than Michael J. Fox in a vibrating chair. She called me out for not mentioning her win over Seth Gile when I clearly did. She said I couldn’t hack it as a disc jockey. Yet, I’ve never tried to be one. And she said she’s going to channel her frustration in order to break every bone in my face. Mission accomplished.
This is EXACTLY what I wanted. She’s in her promos making irrational claims and putting together barely coherent sentences. Not to mention blatantly lying her ass off. Yeah, I caught that Ryleigh. Madison Fitzpatrick jumps up on the apron during a match but isn’t a factor? Sorry Barbie, nobody is buying that bullshit. Which actually brings us to a couple of other conundrums. If you don’t care about what people think of you. Then why the need to explain away Madison Fitzpatrick’s actions in the first place? If you truly didn’t care then you wouldn’t care if people thought you cheated. Then in that same vein you also said that you weren’t going to blast me. You said that you weren’t because you didn’t care about what I had to say. You then proceeded to spend an entire promo blasting me.
All of those mistakes were made because you didn’t think things through. You can’t keep your emotions in check. You let what I had to say piss you off and you struck back at me without thinking. That’s what happens when you’re fueled by anger. The bad part is that you act the exact same way inside the ring. You even admitted that when you said that you’d be putting your frustration into your strikes. Forget about understanding your opponent Ryleigh, you don’t even understand yourself. You don’t even understand that you’re setting yourself up for failure.
Hell, you think that you know how to fight when you’re backed into a corner. Using your anger and your fear to lash out at anything that moves? That isn’t knowing how to fight when you’re backed into a corner. That’s what wild animals do. It requires no thinking whatsoever. You did that in your match with what was left of Elina Cartel. And you know what? There were plenty of openings for her to take advantage of. Had she been 100% then you wouldn’t be the Hybrid Champion right now. Yet, you want to come at me the same way? You really want to give me those same openings? That’s what you call a good strategy? Okay Ryleigh, if you say so. Come at me like a wild animal, please do. Because I won’t hesitate to put you down like one.
