It seems like it's time to address my fans and the Elysium public again, so I figured this time I'd just write it out and put it up on social media. There's no need for videos or fanfare, I have a very simple message to deliver and everyone knows what's coming next. I lost to Kevin Moss, that I'm not excusing, I can hold my head high, my chin up. Because I beat the hell out of that pretty boy, I made him dig deep. I took the fight straight to him and I lost but I still made everyone in that audience understand just how mortal the infinity warrior is. I suspect, much like Elina Cartel after Ashe Corvin, or Sarah Lackland after Erick Holland, that Kevin Moss won't really be the same man again after that match for better or worse. That's all I needed to do, I didn't need to win. This next match is different, I need to win, I want to win and I will win.
The Iron Title needs to be in the hands of competitor that can do it proud, someone who hasn't been soft balled for their entire run. Big words I know and ones that Xavier is likely to protest. How am I so sure of this? Just take a look at your opponents, people who either have had only one match under their belts. Or haven't been able to string two wins together to save their lives much less their careers. One might even go as far as to say that the Elysium roster as a whole has been incredibly hit and miss. The thing is that whatever talent it does hold, Anthony Xavier has certainly not been playing with the top dogs. Now, there's the question of why I'm choosing to write all of this, lately, I've been letting my manager do my talking. Normally I'm perfectly happy with that however, I think this is a bit personal which nicely brings me to my next point.
Whenever you have been in a match that's had any real talent in it, management manages to throw enough of the bottom barrel screw-ups in there to give you half a chance to keep the Iron Title. That's why people like Seth Gile and Jake Archer are still on the roster let alone getting title shots. Why would they do that? Because you're safe, Anthony. You're a nice wholesome image to balance out the insanity and failure that clouds Elysiums roster. You're a decent worker and have enough scraped together skill to put on a mildly entertaining show. You certainly aren't going to give the bean counters a headache. You won't end up on any headlines good or bad, you are the unremarkable pale white poster boy that puts the beer-swilling redneck masses at ease in this time of so much racial tension. The suits have been throwing you enough breaks to allow your passable talent to carry you and the Iron Title. Giggling about their ability to reassure a very vocal shrinking minority of their customer base that out of everyone else in the entertainment industry, they are still catered to in EW.
If the growing chorus of boo's at your every appearance is any indication, the crowd is getting as sick of having your mediocrity shoved down their throats as I am. That's what I'm here to fix, make no mistake, you have never beat me and I've already paid Madison back for that slip up in full. She hasn't had a match in a few shows now. That is what is about to happen to you, Anthony, there's no jobbers cluttering the stage now, no one to save you from me. I've been a World Champion, I know that my skill is world class, I am a One Woman Army, an overwhelming force and I was born better than your best day. No more sitting idly by, waiting for opportunity to knock. I'm taking my opportunities and I'm starting with taking the title that should have rightfully been mine in the first place.
How's your ankle? I'll find out. How's that shot to the head you took at Hollowed Ground? Because I'm going to test it, I'm going to pick you apart, in what is possibly the most targeted assault you've ever experienced. I will be relentless and my power and precision can overwhelm your timing and speed. Please Submission Magician get close enough to apply your holds, can you pin all four of my limbs I wonder? You'll have to, because every time you get close, I'm going to make you regret it. I'll nail you every time, power my way out, I outweigh you by enough that keeping me down is going to be a monumental challenge. I'll use everything in my extensive arsenal, and every time you fuck up, I'll go in for the kill. If it doesn't take the first time, I have no problem lunging again. My endurance will be greater than yours and I am sure this. Because there's a big difference between you and me. You have a work ethic and need to prove yourself that I still somewhat respect, I use to be exactly like you. I'm not like you anymore, I'm done letting try hards like you make your names off my back. That difference I mentioned, Anthony is that deep down you are a good man and a fair competitor. I'm not anymore if I have to hurt you, I will. You have a choice - you can either end up staring at the lights understanding why I did this to you, being thankful you're no longer a paper tiger...or you're career isn't going to continue. There is no keeping that Iron Championship at this point. You've just been keeping it warm for me. Sloan will film the next promotional for me, this no longer requires my personal attention, I'm off to continue my training.
Deepest Condolences, Anthony.

Anthony Xavier stands in front of a brick wall, as usual. He's wearing a dark hoodie, his hair's a bit messed up and he seems just a bit disheveled. He waves at the camera and starts talking.
Xavier: Uhhh... Let's see! Hi, first and foremost. It's always a huge pleasure to communicate to the fans this way. These segments are an awesome platform to reach to the great Elysium fanbase, and I really enjoy it. Almost as much as being your Iron Champion, ha-ha. As you already know, it's the Iron Champion's duty to defend his title on a bi-weekly basis, on every episode and on every Elysium show. That's one of the perks of the job, I guess.
He gives a big thumbs up to the camera.
Xavier: Now, having to defend this title all the time makes me appreciate it a lot, it helps me to understand the different styles of my opponents and, most importantly, it helps me gain respect from the crowd, who have been supporting me ever since I stepped foot in this very company. Something that's not a perk at all? Being constantly attacked, now that's for sure.
Anthony chuckles for a few seconds.
Xavier: I mean... Just a couple of weeks ago, I defended this title against two extremely talented opponents in Seth Gile and Helena Handbasket. They definitely did not make it easier, I can tell you that. Took a couple of bad shots in that match, but nothing too serious. As I always say, a triple threat is always harder than a regular singles match 'cause it's more unpredictable, and sure enough, that's what happened, but luckily, thanks one of those unexpected things, I was able to take Seth Gile down and make him tap out. So, that ended up working out for me, ha-ha. As I said after the match, the title represents two things, hard work and consistency. Discipline and dedication, yeah. All those things pay off in the end.
He zips down his hoodie and shows us that he's wearing the Iron Championship around his waist.
Xavier: Yeah... Working your butt off every single time to make it out there, to consistently learn new things, never settling down to just knowing the fundamentals. Now, that makes a champion. So I don't plan on using my segment time to ramble like F.M. Young did. I'll let her be. I mean, I understand that when people start to fail aaaall the time... they tend to lose their marbles. I could take all the time in the world to tell you guys why everything she said about me is wrong. I mean, that claim that she was born better than me on her best day is just silly; 'cause first, I'm pretty sure I can pin a newborn baby, *even though that would be extremely weird*, and second, my best day is yet to come, I still have a lot to learn, just like F.M. Young, 'cause she needs to learn to keep her mouth shut instead of saying nonsense like the things she's said...
He walked towards the camera, as he cracked his knuckles.
Xavier: After all, I've never heard no booing when I come out, and even if there had been, that's fine too, everyone can boo whoever they want. Because the people who watch Elysium, the beer-swilling redneck masses as you called 'em, they can choose who they want to support, and if they've chosen to support me, I guess that's 'cause they respect me. But of course, what would F.M. Young know about respect?
Anthony smirks, but almost immediately looks away in regret.
Xavier: Sorry about that. Now, I can justify myself. She went out of their way to call other workers "jobbers". Imagine that. Would I ever do that? Heavens no. I've had a chance to meet most of my colleagues, and I know they definitely work extremely hard, so I can't go out there discrediting the hard work they put out there. That's who I am, and I don't plan on changing who I am any time soon. To make it in wrestling, I learned a long time ago, the first thing you or'ta do is respect your opponents even if they don't respect you. But I'll be honest with you, sometimes, yeah, sometimes, the way to show that respect is simple: by breaking down and humbling your opponent.
He looks more determined than usual, as he rubs his hands together.
Xavier: Yeah... that undermining of everyone else. Not a big fan of it... Golly, I don't even understand how people supported this... someone, 'cause that's what she's always done... it intrigues me, honestly. I mean, imagine how arrogant you must be to call yourself 'The One Woman Army'. Someone who's, what, 2 inches taller and 20 pounds heavier? That's it, and I'm a teenytiny dude, as you can tell. Someone threatening me with a targeted assault; something I've done for most of the decade and something that isn't complicated to defend yourself from if you know what you're doing. She's looking for enemies everywhere she goes, Elysium higher-ups, other wrestlers she's faced, like she's the victim of a conspiracy around her substandard 2-3 record. That someone is simply delusional. If that someone wants a real enemy, she's getting one this Sunday, at least for about 15 minutes until I make her tap.
Xavier looks up, as an almost ironically arrogant smile can be seen.
Xavier: Yeah, because if you honestly think that I'm just gonna stand and not do anything, after all that bull talk she's been saying, well, sorry to dissapoint y'all. So I can make sure that will never have to hear her slandering me, trying to trash me around like she has, well I don't tend to take things like that easily. I'll make sure she regrets everything she's said. See you soon I guess, I still have a lot to say!
He waves goodbye and walks away.

The first shot of this video is one of FM Young, locked into the Magic City lock, laying face down with Riley Rouse applying the hold. That is until FM gets her arms under her and gives a mighty shove to the side, knocking Riley off balance and freeing up the room FM to nail him in the temple with a couple quick elbow shots. Before the camera pans away FM has lunged onto Riley and is delivering a hail of hammer-strikes. Sloan comes into frame as the camera pans around her gym, she’s standing in front of a white brick wall with her usual condescending facial expression and office casual outfit. Sloan crosses her arms and leans back against the wall, also crossing her legs. “I was going to stand here and try to teach you all how to shoot an Anthony Xavier promo video, except I can’t whine in a monotone voice about my job for ten minutes convincingly. Anybody else notice that Anthony had just a little fire in him this time? It was almost like something got under his skin, or I don’t know maybe it had been twenty minutes since he got the chance to say respect. It’s like a nervous tick with that boy, has nobody thought to get him checked out for tourettes? He has to have some mental illness otherwise why would Anthony think that FM is the paranoid one, while he goes on and on about how he constantly gets attacked? Surely he’s noticed that this wrestling and that’s kind of the point? Of course the man has, but he likes to hide the real Xavier behind that aw shucks mask and pretend naivety. We’re not buying it.”
Sloan gestures one manicured hand to the side and the camera pans back over to reveal FM breaking free of the Xavier Choke, flipping Riley over her shoulders and delivering some devastating kidney kicks on the way down. Sloan smirks as the camera rolls back to her in a slow shot as she starts addressing the fans again. “FM’s been doing that for two weeks, testing herself against every submissionist she knows tirelessly. Anthony got it wrong, that is not a woman who thinks that this will be easy. Young never said that she expected this to be an easy fight, she just said that she’s prepared to be a ruthless as necessary. The One Woman Army is always prepared for a war, do I personally think that Anthony can stand up to it? No, I don’t. Just because Xavier respects his opponents doesn’t change the fact that none of them have any proven skill. No one’s collecting highlight reels of their matches. Anthony isn’t a sword using the hardest stone to sharpen himself, like he would have you believe. FM on the other hand is a woman who lost a match, only to have the world champion she fought against come out and address the public in wonder of her skill and ability. The Submission Magician says he can withstand a targeted attack, not realizing that was only step one in the plan. FM isn’t as specialized or as bland as Anthony, if he provides resistance, she’ll just switch tactics. The Amazon warned Anthony fairly that she knows her talents and she’s inviting him to keep up if he can. FM is going to gift him the best match of his career simply by forcing him to give it everything. Xavier was the one who started protesting like a scared little boy trying to convince himself of something.”
Sloan winces as there’s a particularly sharp shout from the ring area. She gives a whistle and calls out. “Hey! Take a rest, go get some water and wash down and don’t break the help!”
With a satisfied smile Sloan pushes away from the wall and stands straight. “The Elysium Iron Championship has so far been treated like a blue collar prize: like Anthony knows that it’s just a third string belt and he’s desperately trying to make you believe that being the best of the bottom of the card is special. Congratulations Anthony, you’re the smartest kid in special ed. FM Young will take the Iron Championship and elevate it, her prowess demanding better opponents, because she will drive out the ones too weak to be here. The One Woman Army is a force of nature on her way up the ranks, and on her way she’s going to make the Iron Title a real prize to be sought after. Young isn’t going to pretend like the entire point of the title isn’t to give the best competitors a leg up. Anthony acts like he’ll be Iron Champion forever, mostly because I suspect he’s afraid that K-Remix will break down and humble him. News flash, even FM as a toddler could do that to you. The woman is a born Amazon, he wouldn’t have qualified to be the kindergarten final. It would be awkward though, for that guy but he is already a walking package of generic cheese product so what do I know about what Anthony finds awkward? I feel obligated to give the poor boy a little warning, Xavier dear. You had to open your mouth. Now not only is FM going to put on a great match, but she’s going to prove a point. I don’t know if I can keep her from reenacting the Dark Knight Rises on your spine. Ciao, Anthony. Enjoy having the last word because it doesn't matter.”
Sloan gives the camera a dismissive wave and turns back toward the ring area. “Alright, break time is over!” The camera fades out and the streaming icon goes dark.

Post by Anthony Xavier on Dec 1, 2017 19:57:45 GMT -8
Anthony Xavier is sitting in the lobby of a hotel, wearing his signature suit, as he's surrounded by luggage and wearing his Elysium Iron Championship. Xavier: Hello there, everyone! Sorry this is coming out so late, but I happen to just made it to Las Vegas! Sure thing, I'm excited about this week's match, despite the fact that my opponent, F.M. Young might have tried to snub me by trying to make some distasteful comments about me. Now, I could do the same thing I did yesterday, fact-checking what she's said. But the harsh reality is that I don't feel the necessity to give credit or relevance to any comment that woman has done. You can see with your own eyes, you can find the facts that prove that what F.M. Young has said is nothing but a bunch of lies produced by someone who's failed during her time in this company, and who's trying to cope with it by trying to destroy the legacy I've been trying to build here. Giving F.M. Young even the slightest attention right now would be like polishing up a turd.
Xavier covers up his mouth. Xavier: Ughhh, I should've thought that a little bit more! But it's true, to be quite honest. You've seen me week in, week out, doing anything and everything in my repertoir to defeat my opponents, who I'm sure are some of the best of the best out there. I don't have even the slightest intention of undermining their job because I know pretty darn well what they're capable of, and it would be extremely disrespectful to their job to treat 'em like they're nothing. Always respect the craft, and the people doing it. Anthony nods in agreement. Xavier: What I have achieved thus far, all the titles, the recognition and most importantly, the love and the support of the Elysium crowd has been fruit of a ton of hard work, a lot of experience I've accumulated throughout the years, a lot of love and support of my family and friends, and a lot of learning. I can't go out there and say that this title is only because of me, myself and I, oh no, this title represents all the things I've fought for in my life, for my home, my folks, my family and friends, for everyone who's helped me out during these eight years of wrestling, this is their title. And that's what really makes me proud, being able to represent them and being able to create a legacy.
He grabs the title and puts it on his shoulder. Xavier: Ever since I became the Iron Champion, I've gone out there to give you guys everything I've got no matter what, and this Sunday, it won't be the exception. Now, F.M. Young might have tried to get inside my head, sure thing, she's not the first one who's tried to, but I can tell her right now that she's failed, just like she'll fail to beat me on the next episode of Frontline.Anthony leans forward and looks straight at the camera. Xavier: F.M. Young is trying to make me fight like she does. With anger in her mind and blood on her eyes. Now, I'm not like that. And I don't want to ever be like that. If to be a World Champion, I'd have to be the type of awful person she is, I'd rather settle with what I am right now and stay true to myself. I am who I am and that's it. I like to think through my matches, to use what I've learned, what I've perfected, to my advantage. As I always say, some might find it dull or boring, or whatever term she and her manager have decided to use this week, but it's honest. It's who I am.Xavier smiles once again and looks down for a few seconds. Xavier: Never have I tried to be something I'm not. In this company, in this business in which everyone tries to be so edgy, I'm the outlier, I'm just someone else, a guy in the bunch even, who happens to love wrestling so much he's decided to dedicate his life to coming up and perfecting his craft, to do this for a living, to going out there every single week and giving you guys 110% every single time. F.M. Young is someone I have no desire in being. I don't talk like I'm supposed to be a hero or a villain, overhyping my achievements and ignoring my failures. I'm just someone who's learned, who's grown, who's done a lot in this business and someone who's ready to create an unforgettable legacy in Elysium Pro Wrestling.Xavier stands up, while still holding his belt on his shoulder. Xavier: So, it's going to be a pleasure to defeat my opponent, to have my hand raised again, as I thank you, the Elysium fanbase, for being with me for so long. F.M. Young might have started practicing against many submission experts, but none of them compare to me. She might have tried to "threaten" me by mentioning former injuries of mine, but that doesn't scare me. She might think she's some monster who's just gonna squash me real quick, but y'all know that's she's not all that different than other wrestlers I've faced. She might be as delusional as one can be, but I know you are not, so hopefully, I'll have your support. F.M. Young might try to destroy me, but she'll fail because my strength does not lie on my body, like hers does, it lies on my heart, my soul and my spirit, and those things are definitely unbreakable. It will be a pleasure to see you again this Sunday, as I defend my title again, and I assure you, it won't be the last time I'll do so. See y'all soon.Xavier grabs his luggage and walks out of frame.
