--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- “The Revolution Will Be Televised”---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
[Kevin Moss enters the backseat of a car just before the vehicle pulls away from a clinic. He has an ice pack wrapped around his shoulder, placed directly on his collarbone. Kevin takes a moment before he sighs in relief after receiving news that there is only minor bruising following his match at Hallowed Ground with F.M. Young. He stares out the window, slowly shaking his head in disappointment.]I would be lying if I said I was satisfied with my performance at Hallowed Ground. Even though I managed to secure the victory, I should have been much more dominant in getting to that point. I put in so much work and preparation for it to play out the way that it did. I expected it to be a battle, but I was also confident that I was on a different level than Young. I can’t take anything away from her. She showed up and gave me a great fight. If I want to ascend to the heights I know I belong, I will need to be much more sharp going forward. Luckily I didn’t suffer any long-term damage. After a few x-rays and tests from a physician, it turns out my collarbone was just bruised in that match. Nothing ice and heat won’t be able to remedy.
But my goals in Elysium are much greater than that. I know I can be successful here and I know I can be a champion for this organization. I need to do more work and improve my skill even more if I am going to make that happen. My path is clear now. At Hallowed Ground I made my plans known and now I just need to execute every single time I step through the ropes, but it’s not a challenge I will be facing on my own. The entire world got a first hand look at “The Infinity Revolution” and I couldn’t be more motivated at this point. This partnership with Alyssa Daniels has added another layer to my game and now I’m not just relying on myself, but a cause much greater than anything I could achieve alone.
I knew right away that I found someone special in Alyssa Daniels. Her skill, her drive, and her spirit will be a gigantic inspiration for me going forward. We may have only known each other for about a month, but there is no doubt in my mind that she is truly “The Heart of Infinity.” She represents everything good in this world and together, we will blaze a trail for people to follow. I expect to learn just as much from this bond as I plan on teaching her. Just wait until we get to show what we are capable of doing together. I think it’s already safe to say we have to be one of the favorites to win The World Tag Team Grand Prix.
That’s all that matters at this point. Our expectation is to win this entire tournament and become the first Elysium Tag Team Champions. We want to set a standard for this company and all other champions. We are both very dangerous competitors in a solo setting, but as a team we represent something different. It’s not about egos. It’s not about destroying the competition. For us, it’s about honesty in teamwork and purity in our path to the top.
In our qualifying match, we are set to face the team of Liza Capernick and Madison Fitzpatrick. The call themselves the Uprising, but I have no idea of what they stand for. From what I’ve seen of Madison Fitzpatrick, she is obviously a born fighter. This will be a smash-mouth team, but Alyssa and I will come in with a clear and decisive game plan. We will pick our shots wisely and do everything in our power to minimize the damage we take. This Grand Prix is going to require endurance and preservation. You can’t expect to make it to the finals if you are limping through your matches. It’s going to take just as much intelligence as it will ability to hold those titles above your head.
Believe me, I have tagged with others in the past and have come to realize that it can’t be done alone. You need total commitment from both members in order to succeed. In fact, the man that I defeated for the SKYFIRE Championship was my partner for a short period of time, but he couldn’t hold up his end of the team. Eventually I realized that he was slowing down my momentum and I got out of that situation. I don’t have those concerns with Alyssa. She is not someone looking to ride anyone else’s coattails. Before we decided to move forward as a team, I looked her in the eyes and asked if she was willing to do whatever it takes. There was no hesitation in her response. She stared directly back at me and made a believer out of me.
[Kevin pulls his cellphone out of his pocket and sees a new text message from Alyssa. She is asking about his appointment. Moss smiles to himself before responding, assuring his partner that everything is okay. He presses send and puts his phone away.]
Will the Uprising be ready to deal with “The Infinity Revolution?” There is no way to know before we step inside the ring on Sunday night. Madison and Liza better be on the same page, because that’s how Alyssa and I will operate. We will both apply our strengths to this team and the more we put this to practice, the better outings we will have. After we officially qualify for the Grand Prix, the stakes will only get higher from there and the competition will become more difficult. Consider this the first action of “The Infinity Revolution,” but understand that we are destined for much greater things. With Alyssa and I together, the future will be bright.

“Why must you resort to such false thoughts? Have you considered who you are facing?”
A voice opens up as a video is beginning to play. A dark haired woman is sitting in a dimly lit room with her head pointed at the floor. Her hands are curled up in loose fists while resting them on her legs.
”In just a few days, the world will soon know about our message. I don’t understand why it’s so hard to understand what we are about. Uprising is about shocking the system and putting everyone on notice. Our plan hasn’t changed or altered in any way. We still plan on getting what is ours.”
Just then another woman enters the shot.
”Kevin Moss and his partner are considered the favorites because of who they are. Kevin Moss couldn’t even come up with an intelligent reason for why they should move past us. Does he not see us as a threat? He clearly understands that I’m a bonafide fighter and that I don’t need someone holding my hand. What he doesn’t know is how much aggression has been building inside of me. The Infinity Revolution shouldn’t look past us like they are doing.”
The woman leans down as her orange hair comes into focus.
“The Irish Hellcat is ready to scratch and claw through every pound of flesh to get what is ours. Those tag belts will look wonderful around our waist and your heads will fit onto our mantle. You can underestimate us Kevin and we will make you regret it. Just because you have a name doesn’t make you a team. Team Chemistry isn’t something you can manufacture in some lab. You either have it or you don’t. It’s just that simple. I’m not knocking your talents. You both are capable of being great on your own. However, you are entering our realm. You already know about me so it’s time you met Liza.”
Madison steps to side as the dark haired woman lifts her head. Her dark eyes narrow as her lips remain in a smooth state.
“Ye muppets of muppet land, thou have made a major mistake. Ye have spake with false opinions that will lead into a heartache of facts. It must be difficult trying to come up with a game plan for someone you’ve not seen in the ring. However, I can formulate an accurate plan to execute with utter perfection. Bet you didn’t see that coming huh Moss. You thought we would just cower in fear against a man who is partially broken and his pathetic protege. I’m surprised you can trust this one after your last attempt. It’s a shame that a man with your experience has regulated to being nothing more than plushy pin cushion. The Egyptian Assassin doesn’t fear anyone. I am coming to achieve my own goals while helping push our cause. The Uprising is happening and there is nothing you can do to stop it.”
Liza pauses as Madison smirks.
”Unlike Kevin, we aren’t looking past them. Cause we know looking towards the finish line does nothing for us. In the back of our minds, we have this match on lock but we got to make it happen. We will make it happen.”

Evolution. ___________________________________________________________ “Growth is paramount.”
The curved boxing mit whizzed by the ear of Alyssa Daniels. Due to both her head bob and the velocity of the mit, her magenta ponytail whipped to the left and right. Alyssa rose and swung, striking the other mit with a straight left and threw a hook to connect with mit that returned from its attempting strike.
“It’s everything really. From this business as a small scale example to living life and surviving, we cannot succeed unless we build upon ourselves, strengthening weaknesses and maintaining strengths. There’s never been a point in this sport where I’ve seen a truly successful competitor rise to the top and rest on their laurels. There’s never a time when you train that you think ‘yep, I’m done’ and never train again. It never ends and it never should if you want to succeed over time. At the same time, it’s difficult to be objective about the work that needs done. You think you know yourself, think you know what your strengths and weaknesses are, and defeat can be difficult to stomach when you feel like you did everything perfectly. That’s why having a mentor can be critical to one’s success, especially early on.”
The mits moved and danced as Alyssa moved in an effort to avoid being hit and immediately retaliate. As soon as a mit revealed its intent to strike, Alyssa countered and struck it instead. Kevin Moss, the wearer of the mits, urged Alyssa on with intensity. Sure, they were teammates but you don’t get better from being coddled. Both Kevin and Alyssa knew that.
“Kevin has been a phenomenal mentor and trainer. He's as tough and intense a trainer as you’ll find but that’s exactly what I wanted, what I needed. I can’t grow, can’t evolve if I don’t face proper adversity. Each day we train together, he starts me off with cardio, both distance for stamina and sprints for burst and explosiveness. After that, we work on technique and fundamentals. The best time to work on precision is when you’re exhausted. Those moments when you’re tired and willing yourself to keep fighting are the most crucial. That’s where greatness is measured and earned. When you fight the truly successful fighters, people like the Elysium World Champion Erik Holland or the Skyfire Champion Kevin Moss, if you want to win, the fight will last to exhaustion. You have to dig deep in those moments and make the difference then to win. Nothing worth obtaining will be easy to obtain. The little details are what matter and if you lack on those details because you’re tired? You’ll never break through that glass ceiling.”
Kevin Moss put significant effort into attempting to strike Alyssa with the curved mitts but her speed and quickness allowed her to evade swing after swing. Her counterstrikes were fewer now as the swings became more numerous. Sweat poured from her face and body as she continued to remain untouchable. Though she swung less, her strikes were stronger than before. She saved her energy favoring bigger strikes over the number of strikes.
“Madison, you’re fortunate like I am that you have a few people that help you train and grow, one of those being your partner Liza. I can tell just by looking at her that she’s incredibly powerful. One doesn’t get that way from taking it easy. She clearly puts in work to be that impressive and I highly doubt she would help you do any less. But it’s not your effort and training that gives me pause about you, Maddy. It’s your attitude. You walk out to that ring wanting to hurt people. I can tell that it’s not just rhetoric to you; it’s truly what you want. But want that a bit too much. You favor brutality over technique. You overextend yourself, Maddy. In your match against Deus, you were on your way to victory until you took a huge risk. Then, when you had the Iron Championship all but won, you wrenched on Anthony Xavier’s arm with malicious intent but he used your momentum against you and walked out with the strap. Then you came out against Young so angry! You just wanted to take out all of your frustrations on her but you were absolutely... Dominated.”
Alyssa throws a shot at the mitt on her right but it moves, disrupting her balance. The other mit swings from the left and connects with her head, sending her sprawling. Moss pushes forward but Alyssa turns the sprawl into a roll and finds her feet quickly. She pushes forward with strikes, halting Moss’s momentum as each strike connects with the mitts.
“But just because you stumbled and fell doesn’t mean you can’t get back up again. You have yet to win a match but you keep fighting. That shows true promise. I’ve seen so many fragile egos crumble at a loss or two. They take their ball and go home. Not you, Maddy. As you keep coming, as eventually will the wins. But this week, our gameplan is locked in, our strategy flexible depending on the match situation. We’re anticipating Liza’s power. We’re anticipating your aggression. You have the opportunity to grow but this week, modifying the words of Michael Jordan…”
Moss swings a mit but Alyssa connects with a strike that sends the glove flying. Moss pulls the other glove to strike but it too gets driven off of Moss’s hand. Moss puts his hands up in a halting gesture and Alyssa immediately ceases the attack and returns to a ready position.
“You reach, we'll teach.”
The scene zooms in on the intensity in the eyes of Alyssa Daniels. Even through pouring sweat and exhaustion, the determination remains as the scene slowly fades.
