Even God Kings Can Bleed
Starring Tony Chu as SHIDO Elina Cartel as Herself
The camera stuns the viewers with the the glory of all of the alabaster sculptures within the realm of SHIDO. They’re all sculptures of the God King SHIDO in various stages of glory, triumph, and one of his post ejaculation face. Next up-some footage to highlight SHIDO’s anger, sexual frustration, and embarrassment for having allowed the ‘yay, hugs and shit’ chick (Alyssa Daniels) to walk away with the Championship. Yowza, even the other dolt with the name all in caps, DEIMOIST (or something of the like), came in second. SHIDO, the God King, the Dictator, Frequent user of the Thesaurus, came in THIRD.
Now the camera is just meandering, focusing for a moment on the pool of tears at SHIDO's feet.
Pan up, just a little bit, o’ you woeful camera, to finally show SHIDO from behind.
Dramatically.
SHIDO’s not wearing any clothing, well save for his 'SHIDO print' underwear (he really loves himself, get it?)
This is a different SHIDO than we’re used to though, this SHIDO shows all of his scars and vulnerabilities. Over his shoulder is the scar from that time Holland got really catty with him and clawed him up. Across his back is the forever-bruise he got from the relentless tongue thrashing he was given by to him by that bitch of an English teacher who just couldn’t stand if he used the same adjective twice.
Oh, and also there’s some glitter on him still, since he didn’t shower after Alyssa Daniels got her ‘special’ all over him. (Pretty sure she was a cast member on GLEE)
Back to the brooding and enigmatic-ish SHIDO, “My butt has never hurt this long and this thorough. Previously, the expectation was, ‘SHIDO says he’s great and everyone believes him’, but no longer,” SHIDO clicks his jaw, and while he should get that looked at, he doesn’t care because it adds a great dramatic pause, “Mine own lips spoketh the word of SHIDO. Conjuring mental images of I, the greatest Champion, facing the likes of Mathis and Holland; subsequently vanquishing those bottom feeders,” another dramatic pause, mainly driven by the fact that his previous meal is not sitting well, “How am I to still lay claim to being the dictator, god, enviably awesome, without the whole ‘being Champion’ thing?”
Somewhere in the distance, beyond the alabaster sculpture of that time SHIDO defeated Takeru Kobayashi in a spicy hot dog eating competition* a voice can be heard. It’s the Starchild…
* five hours ago, the sculpture was a rush job, but also explains his stomach ache
“Ignore the loss, my dear. Blame the attack. You weren’t yourself. In fact, thanks to the beating you took, you have the perfect excuse. How many people did it ultimately take to defeat the goliath who is SHIDO?”
SHIDO can’t respond immediately as he is absorbed in profound thinking, visions of bright lights, and hoping he’ll eventually be able to levitate. Finally, he breathes out dramatically, “Of course! The meaningless peons within the Elysium roster simply could not handle the majesty of SHIDO. Their fear drove them to desperate and despicable acts. Ultimately, could I blame them?” pause again so SHIDO can be amazed by his own bravado, “Furthermore, I’m feeling magnanimous, so I shall forgive them, but don’t think, for one moment, that I won’t continue to belittle them. Ever!”
Elina hisses, “Never. You will go to the platform that is Twitter and re-establish your dominance on the same platform used by Donald Trump to say blindingly stupid things every day. Yes. Put the ‘Dic’ in Dictator. You have it in you.”
SHIDO nods, but the camera misses it, because it was being elusive and dramatic again, focusing on another alabaster statue of SHIDO when he was very young, sculpted to celebrate the day he grew his first pubic hair.
SHIDO’s still nodding, until finally the camera catches him. He smiles, “I blossomed at a very young age,” SHIDO pulls out his phone, somewhat shattering his image of ‘god-like’ status as he becomes yet another smart-phone-drone. He opens Twitter and his angelic face is caught in the glow of a phone running without a blue-light filter, because fuck eyes, am I right?
“Not only is SHIDO the greatest champion, god, dictator, fashion model, and two-time Lays potato chip ‘Flavors of America’ contest runner-up, but he’s also the greatest thumb typer of all time,” SHIDO rattles something out on his phone as the camera swirls around him. Now the fog machine kicks in, (special effects, y’all). Now he looks somehow even more intense than he did before. It’s almost as engrossing as watching one of those Fortnite competitions, except with significantly less acne.
In the interim, let’s hear from our sponsors, the SHIDO Hair Club for Men:
“Don’t you think it’s time you started to look like what would happen if a male Jersey Shore cast member jammed a fork into a live electrical outlet? Then it’s time to join the SHIDO Hair Club for Men. Finally, you can have that hair that says, ‘I look like a total douche and don’t even need that flat brimmed hat anymore. Wow.’ Join today, for the low monthly price of just 2,599.00.”
SHIDO is now gazing into his phone…
Elina asks, “What did you tweet, my dear?”
He shakes his head, “Oh, I was going to tweet, but then I saw this article about ‘Man who thought he found Bigfoot’s skull, but then they told him THIS’ and ‘this’ was that it was actually a gallstone passed by DEIMOS.”
Yes, even Gods can bleed and, to a lesser extent, be distracted by click bait.
Stay tuned for the exciting conclusion of ‘yet another SHIDO promo’! You won’t believe your EYES.
To Be Continued (Dramatically)...

Best of Enemies
Starring Elina Cartel as Herself Tony Chu as SHIDO
Cut to Elina Stardust, sitting upon her throne atop Mount Olympus, before her is the valley - the Elysian Fields. Sitting next to her in another throne is ‘SHIDO’.
“Alas, we find ourselves at the precipice of our hastily constructed first meeting, one on one. One of us will move on, with an opportunity, potentially, to give the mortal Alyssa Daniels a taste of defeat. If I move on to face her, it would be her second taste of defeat at my hands and I know you would do the same. She benefited from the assault on you and could not have stopped me had FM Young not gotten involved. Yes, she is a Champion, but whether or not she will retain the title on her own is still in doubt.” Elina sneers, showing her fang like teeth, “Still, what should have been a long build, long teased spectacle will now simply be a footnote at Chapter II. Does this upset you?”
SHIDO murmurs, “Of course it does my dear.”
Elina rests her hand atop his, “You suffered true defeat and in turn, the only person who never saw fit to vilify you portrayed you in a satirical manner. The satire could have been taken one of two ways. You could have responded with anger or you could have laughed and realized what was actually being said.”
SHIDO smirks, “As ridiculous as it was, it was still a mirror to look into.”
Elina nods, “Yes. You see, to truly understand ourselves, we must look through the eyes of others. Where I see a titan, many see an egotist. Where I see a champion, they see an demigod,” Elina frowns as a raindrop glances her cheek, “We have entered the new ‘era’ within these Elysian Fields. Threatened by those who don’t understand you and will likely undersell my very existence. Will this be the fate of Elysium? Will the two of us destroy each other at Chapter II? Will they replace us with new gods?”
Clouds roll in, growing grey. Lightning snaps across the sky followed by the rolling rumble of thunder.
Wind rushes, roughing Elina’s hair, “I said before, my dear, we must see ourselves through the eyes of others to come full circle. Perhaps this is my opportunity. To you, what am I? Our ‘relationship’ has always been nebulous, but what am I to you?”
“Still an ally, even when you’re my enemy.”
“What can be said about Elina Stardust, however? Dig deep. FM Young believed me to be the ‘often injured flake’. I’m sure there are many who share this same opinion. Weakness is evidently found in injuries. Pair my injuries with the fact that the path I walk has taken me away from these Elysian Fields twice, I am a flake,”
Elina pulls her hand away from SHIDO’s as his eyes fix on yet another lightning bolt, as he speaks, his voice is flanked by the sound of thunder, “I could remind you that you lost to Mathis and I defeated her. I could remind you that you lost to Boots Martin and she would have been no match for me. Then, I could remind you that I was here - overseeing these Elysian Fields while you were nowhere to be found.”
“Of course you could, darling. It’s the right thing to do. Then again, isn’t this also an argument for my tenacity? Injured and defeated, yet I still returned? Doesn’t this speak of my heart and my strength, the fact that I keep coming back, despite these setbacks? I did not become the two time Hybrid Champion by fluke, my dear. How many times did I defend the Hybrid Championship while you stood back with the World Championship in hand, not defending it? Should we compare those numbers?”
In the distant Elysian Fields, lightning strikes a tree, cleaving it into two flaming halves.
SHIDO scoffs and a smirk rises, “Of course we should. It would lend credibility to your tenure at Elysium. There was a point when you were my equal. We were the ‘Champions to be beaten’,” he shakes his head, pondering what he’s just said, “Then again, I suppose, we are equals again. Given the fact that neither of us hold Championships. Equals again, surrounded by a roster of imposters laying claim to our kingdom, but now we’re set to destroy each other as enemies.”
The flames spread from the tree, undeterred by the falling rain.
“Best of enemies, my dear,” Elina smiles
The fire spreads quickly - the Elysian Fields are ablaze.
“The Elysian Fields are in danger as we sit idle, my dear,” Elina whispers, “Yet, we must spend time exposing each other’s weaknesses. We must counter each other. We must insult each other. We must prove, through words and actions, that one of us is the better of the two. So please, SHIDO, point out my biggest ‘weakness’.”
“You aren’t like them, Elina. You’re different… But I don’t want to...”
“Say it.”
“No.”
Elina scoffs, “Just say it.”
“You...Aren’t...A...Wrestler.”
“No. No I’m not. I’m not a wrestler. Not the way the fans know them. I don’t need my face screen printed on t-shirts. I don’t need my name rolling off the tongues of the fans. I don’t need any of this. I’m a fighter. Injuries, setbacks, losses, I fight. I fight forward, even if that means I must fight you. I fight for these Elysian Fields.”
“I wouldn’t have it any other way.”
Elina and SHIDO watch as the Elysian Fields burn like the cherry at the end of Finale’s cigarette.
“You and I - we must survive this. We must move forward. Regardless of what they say or do, we must save these Elysian Fields.”
SHIDO slouches in his throne, “Before it’s too late.”

In the world of SHIDO, the statues were dying. Metaphorically, as they were inanimate now, truly and eternally. As they stood there, pieces of them began to break off. From where it did, it appeared to be tears, descending to the ground. They would become nothing there, not even a remnant of dust remained. Nevertheless, it was the beginning of the process, their deaths. The room's lighting fluctuated between its normal, angelic state to a hellish variation of itself. Finally, the throne where SHIDO once sat began to break apart.
It was the apocalypse here.
SHIDO sat there amidst the end of the world and looked up to the camera. One would think the world reflected his mental state, but as the camera finally drew close enough to him, something surprising was shown. He was at peace. There wasn't a shred of anger or disappointment in his face. There was only a scar from the assault that DEIMOS dealt him, but it was not masked with a concealer like he would the only scars. When he rose his head, there was a sliver of a smile.
"Everything for Elina."
