Pyro and ballyhoo spark off as we come live to the Sanctum in Toronto, Ontario, Canada! The massive LED screen in the entryway comes to life with the Elysium FRONTLINE logo, lit up in green and white lights scanning the sold out crowd! A robotic voice comes over the PA..
Before the Hybrid Title five way scramble gets underway, "Death Becomes Him" by Whitechapel pulses over the speakera as Erik Holland, the owner of Elysium makes his way onto the stage with a microphone.
"I've got a little good news and bad news, you lunatics, before we decide who the new Hybrid Champion is gonna' be..Unfortunately, Elena Sanchez and Kanda Kobayashi both informed me that they missed their flight out to Toronto today, and won't be able to make the match. But Elysium stops for NO ONE."
Holland grins.
"This match IS gonna take place, as a Triple Threat match! First fall wins! Get the fuck out here and start fightin'!"

Our prestigious World Championship will be on the line, and the careers of two rising stars not just in Elysium but in the wrestling industry could be as well! Miguel Villailobos defends against Gabe Shelley, and Filth there’s no way out of this cage!”
FM: “Exactly as it oughta’ be Thad! Put the women and children to bed because there is a roof on this cage, the door will be padlocked shut, and two amazing competitors are gonna beat the shit out of each other for a World Championship! I cannot wait!”
TB: “Let’s get down to the ring, the opening contest for FRONTLINE is on the way!”
OPENING MATCH
TAG TITLE NUMBER 1 CONTENDERSHIP
TNP Inc. (Leah & Q) vs. The Badd Breed (Equinox and Rob Sharpe)
As the teams are introduced it’s clear the Elysium ultras support all four competitors and just want a tremendous match. Well, that’s exactly what they got. What started as seemingly a basic tag team match where Rob Sharpe and Leah exchanged some holds and engaged in the whole tackle drop down hip toss business quickly devolved as tempers flared between these two intense competitors. That turned to forearms being exchanged and off they went pummeling each other around the ring, delivering the heavy lumber but neither competitor seeming to really gain the advantage for long.
This seemed to be the theme for the rest of the match as for the first few minutes, The Badd Breed had pretty good control of the contest, with fast tags and a lot of double teaming Leah. MOSTLY legally, it is the Badd Breed after all. But Leah fought back every time, kicking out of multiple pinfall attempts and double team moves. She finally landed a Tornado DDT out of the corner on Equinox which allowed her to get a close nearfall of her own, then she was able to allow TNP to take over on the smaller ‘Nox, letting herself and Q just pummel the man with power moves and devastating technical striking. They worked at a little slower pace than the Breed but every bit as intense, knowing Thot Chocolate and the tag titles await them if they won.
But, the Badd Breed came to fight and demonstrated their toughness and experience as a team. Every time TNP thought they had Equinox down, Sharpe would come in to break up a pinfall. Finally, Equinox was able to create enough space to drill Q with a Dragon Suplex, giving him an opportunity to tag Rob Sharpe!
Rob came in as a house of fire, cleaning house as the match devolved into an all out brawl with all four competitors, going in and outside the ring in rapid fashion as the referee scrambled to keep up. Huge double team moves from TNP and from the Breed resulted in VERY close near falls, until finally TNP was able to isolate Rob Sharpe by knocking Equinox out of the ring and connect with their Big Boot/Samoan Drop combo to get the pinfall win!
After the match, TNP and the Breed meet center ring and while all four are exhausted and hurting, they share a sportsmanlike handshake between the four knowing that they’ve been in a battle. The crowd gives them the props they deserve as TNP celebrates and the Breed retreats to the back, hurting but head held high after a spirited performance.

TRIPLE THREAT MATCH
ELYSIUM HYBRID CHAMPIONSHIP
#HYBRIDTITLE
Jay Aguero vs. Jake Archer vs. Stacy Deville
Although there were no promises of immense amounts of blood, the audience was still hyped to see this fight. There were, naturally, a fair share of individuals slightly disappointed that not all five of the original participants were going to be here, but they were adjusting to this being altered to a Triple Threat.
Stacy is the first to make a move, as she runs forward and tosses Jake over with a Belly-To-Belly Suplex. Jay takes advantage of not being Stacy’s first target and slips behind her. She tries to wiggle her way out of his grip, but it doesn’t weaken. Jay gives Deville a similar taste of her own medicine, and German Suplexes her against the turnbuckles right behind them.
To Jay’s annoyance and astonishment, both Jake and Stacy have gotten up, and look very raring to go. Jake charges, smacking the side of Jay’s head with a Pele Kick. Jay begins to saunter towards Archer, but is tackled onto his stomach by Deville.
Stacy acknowledges that she hasn’t forgotten Jake is a part of this match with a High Roundhouse Kick to his head. She tries to use this opportunity to her advantage and hooks one of Jay’s legs!
ONE!
TWO!
NO! Archer adamantly refuses to let this match easily end, courtesy of a Superkick from seemingly nowhere! The impact sends Stacy back against the same set of turnbuckles Jay tossed her into earlier.
Feeling satisfied that nothing will interrupt him, Jake goes for his own cover.
ONE!
TWO!
NO! Now he gets hurled off by Jay himself, who looks absolutely furious at this point. He lifts Jake up with ease and slams him down via an Electric Chair Drop. He turns, glaring at Stacy. She’s still … looks it, anyway.
Jay decides not to take any chances, though. He charges at Deville, his elbow aimed for her midsection … but she proves his instincts had been correct as she rolls out of the way in the nick of time! Aguero screams in pain as his elbow lands right on the turnbuckle.
Stacy hunches down, preparing to execute a Double Leg Takedown against Jay. But before she can get close enough, Archer rakes her back and tosses her out of the ring. He then quickly climbs back up the ropes, and jumps off.
Jay turns in time to see that Jake is flying right at him! Flippin’ Ain’t Easy (Double Jump Phoenix Splash)!
Jake goes for the cover!
ONE!
TWO!
Stacy rolls back in the ring and almost breaks the pin, but …
THREE!
Jake almost leaps out of the ring, eyes wide as dinner plates as he is handed the Hybrid Championship! He starts jumping up and down celebrating as a visibly upset Stacy pounds the mat, but ultimately shrugs realizing she got there just a moment too late.
THREE WAY IRON RULES MATCH
ELYSIUM IRON CHAMPIONSHIP
#IRONTITLE
Ryan Gates vs. Hammerstein vs. Lio Walsh
This match would easily be one of the most violent that Elysium had seen in a while. But this was more than fine with the audience, as they were cheering even before the bell had rang. Once the match officially started up, Hammerstein wasted little time in targeting Walsh, deeming him as the biggest threat. He poked his thumb as hard as he could into Lio’s eye, causing The Nightmare King to stumble back slightly.
Ryan Gates snickered at the display, and gave his focus to Hammerstein, figuring he would have a bit of time before needing to worry about Lio again. It took a bit of effort on Gates’ behalf, but he hoisted Hammerstein up into a fireman’s carry. Ryan then proceeds to bring Hammerstein down - hard! - and thrusts his gut straight onto both of his knees!
The ring shakes violently. For a few seconds, it almost looks like the entire thing will collapse due to over five-hundred pounds of combined mass slamming right onto the canvas. By some miracle, though, it stays in tact.
Ryan is panting a bit, mainly due to having lifted someone close to his height and weight up. But he’s nowhere near done. He slides out of the ring and begins rummaging underneath it. As he finishes, Lio pops up from the other side, wearing a smirk.
In Walsh’s hands is a long chain. Ryan, meanwhile, retrieved a kendo stick.
Both Gates and Lio focus on one another, though not before Lio hits the still prone Hammerstein a few times with his weapon. Just to ensure he stays down. With that out of the way, his focus goes onto Gates.
A battle between chain and a kendo stick user ensues. Ryan manages to get some pretty good hits off on Lio. One of the more brutal smacks finds Walsh’s temple, and hits him hard enough to make him bleed a bit. But this is nowhere near enough to make Lio begin to slow down. He actually uses the chain as a makeshift lasso and pulls The Terror Of Toledo over to him. He gets behind Gates and uses the chain to choke him out!
Hammerstein has finally began to stir, and he takes note of the scene playing out before him. He rushes up to his feet, trying to headbutt Gates. But in a desperate effort to try to escape from Walsh, he swings the kendo stick, but it doesn’t find the target he was aiming for! Instead, it lands right on top of Hammerstein’s head, busting him open!
Ryan’s face is starting to turn blue-purple from the lack of oxygen, and it looks like someone may literally die in the ring. Whether out of mercy or boredom, Lio lets go of the chokehold, spins Gates around, and now uses the chain as a whip. Ryan holds his hands up, trying to block some of the attacks. Most, though, find and land on their intended targets. Every now and again, Hammerstein tries to sneak behind Lio and get some of his own assaults in, but he’s met with a punch or the chain being redirected at him in retaliation, if not both.
By the time the chain barrage ends, blood has started flowing onto the canvas. All three men are bleeding, and The Last Kingdom is absolutely loving what they are seeing. Gates is standing, although shakily. Hammerstein looks like he may very well be out, or damn close to it.
Walsh sees an opportunity, as well as an obstacle. He hoists Gates up, slamming him right on top of Hammerstein! Made Of Nightmares (Rock Bottom)!
He then rolls Gates off and covers Hammerstein!
ONE!
TWO!
Ryan tries to break the cover up, but ….
THREE!
He’s a few seconds too late.
MAIN EVENT
WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP
ROOFED STEEL CAGE MATCH
Miguel Villailobos (World Champion) vs. Gabe Shelley
The hungry cage drops down over both competitors after they make their entrances, the crowd pretty firmly behind Gabe Shelley or at this point, really, anybody who they think stands a solid chance of taking the championship from Miguel Villailobos. When the bell rings the two hated rivals go at it center ring trading forearms, and what follows is a throwback for those of you that remember those old steel cage wars from the golden days. Both men proceed to absolutely savage each other with the cage, Miguel being the first to taste the steel barbs as his back strikes the cage HARD following a back body drop from Shelley. Shelley then rakes the face of the Wolf King across the steel, ensuring he is the first to taste his own blood inside this steel prison.
Miguel fights back, though after a couple close pinfall attempts; dirty tactics in the form of a rake to the face, sure, but inside the steel cage anything goes. Miguel proceeds to make Shelley suffer in a variety of ways inside the cage—busting him open as well by blatantly running him into one of the steel supports holding the cage together, then doing everything he can to make that wound worse including punching at the wound and biting it. The blood seems to fire Shelley up though as he fights back and floors Miguel with a Flapjack/Shining Wizard combo, followed by a Falcon Arrow, followed by a top rope Frog Splash off the ropes using the cage wall as a support for a two count!
He points down to his tights as the crowd cheers, pulling out a small length of chain from his trunks so he can absolutely start opening the wound on Miguel’s face wide. Blood is pouring down the faces of both combatants now as they come up with increasingly violent ways to punish one another. We saw a modified Cannonball from Shelley that drove Miguel’s face into the cage to get a near fall, only for the champ to respond with his Santa Muerte cradle piledriver that got an even closer nearfall. Miguel then delivered a modified Crucifix Powerbomb into the cage for a near fall, and Shelley answered back with a Fallout transitioned smoothly into a Jersey Cutter for a close near fall!
Seemingly as the match wore on they executed just about every move they knew how to do to each other. A crescendo reached as Gabe Shelley became one of the very few on this roster to kick out of La Mordida del Lobo in the center of the ring, causing shock and awe on the face of the World Champion and a buzz in the arena as we may well see a new World Champion crowned. It looked for all the world as if it was going to happen as Gabe soon snared a desperate Villailobos in his signature hold, Bright Lights, cranking back hard on it as both men’s faces ran red with crimson masks.
Miguel sure looked like he was ready to tap until he noticed he was close to the ring ropes and with one final desperate lunge, he rolled Shelley onto his back and put his feet all over the ropes before Shelley could roll him back over, tangling him up in a pinning combination and getting a three count!
TB: “The Wolf King escaped with his World Title here at Frontline with what is, unfortunately, a completely legal move in the cage! The reign of El Rey Lobo continues!”
FM: “It’s gonna continue forever, Thad!”
TB: “We’ll see you July 20th for the next edition of Frontline and perhaps by then we’ll have the blood cleaned out of our mats. What a brutal struggle for our World Championship. So long everybody!”
