This is just an idea I had so I'd like to discuss it. What if our off weeks were angled shows? There would be a card but the outcomes would be storylined and segments would be assigned with prompts.
I think it could help add more structure and better storytelling but it's just an idea.
Thoughts?

I have to admit, that I like angled fed's a lot. I feel like angle based storytelling feels both more organic and less random. To me, that type of fed doesn't require anymore trust than a judge based RP fed. That's just me though, for off week stories? Of shorter shows? Yeah, I mean they'd have to be like B stories, I just don't see an overarching story doing well with predetermined results one time and what amounts random results the next.
I think it could be done, if the players involved in the storylines agreed to work with or off of each other and you either let them make some decisions with the agreement that you can over-write those or just choose what you think is best. Or if you were very specific about what you wanted from promos each time and kept the rest tightly under your hat, and then judged the next week's rp based on that same flow of the story. I'm not opposed to it certainly, I think it would be cool...So despite that long-winded thought process color me voted in favor?

I have no solidified idea on how it would work or if we would even do it. The purpose of this thread is to discuss the idea.

You can run competitive/RP shows that are angled/storylines.
The caveat being people would need to put aside "writing to win", and/or trusting the fedhead enough to make a good story out of what is given in the RPs, and the desired storyline.
I personally love collaborative RPing. I desire to create that experience when I can. What I think would work is an involved process from the handlers and fedhead to plot a course, and see all the twists and turns.
I'd be interested to see where this idea goes from here.
