:: POST FRONTLINE II DISCUSSION :: || Match Writing ||As many of you have likely noticed Kevin Moss (Nick) wrote a few matches for the show this week. I have worked with Nick before so I trusted him to not only follow my format but to get his matches in on time. He will be writing again this week but going forward if anyone wants to write matches I am open to that but I need you to understand that I expect them to be on time and in the proper format. || Twitter ||Twitter is still something that I am getting used to in the promotion of Elysium. So far it has been invaluable in terms of promotion and recruiting. That being said, we have started an Elysium group chat on Twitter. If you haven't been added then let me know and if you do not have a twitter account for your character then I recommend you get one because I feel that the chat is going to be a great tool to bring the community together. There are likely going to be a bunch of inside jokes that you won't get if you don't join so...don't get left out. || Lethal Lottery ||Following Hallowed Ground we are going to go ahead with the Lethal Lottery tournament for the Tag Team Titles. THIS IS NOT TO BE ACKNOWLEDGED IN CHARACTER YET as it has not been announced. It likely will not be called Lethal Lottery and the next iPPV certainly will not be called that either. The lottery will be completely random. I may even get someone else to do it just to ensure complete transparency, we'll see. || Upcoming Tour ||Some of you may have noticed the Schedule that I put up. I just wanted to get ahead of things. I haven't decided on names for the iPPVs but I think our Wrestlemania is going to be called "Kingdom Come" but I'm not 100% on that. I am open to ideas for ppvs but the focus of our third iPPV is going to be the finals of Lethal Lottery. || Segment Prompts ||In order to give the shows better flow I am toying with the idea of doing segment prompts, just to differentiate segments and try and give people some direction. If you have any thoughts on this then please reply. || Final Remarks ||I would love to hear from all of you. What are you enjoying about Elysium so far? What are you not enjoying? Where can I improve? Do you have any ideas for the future? Literally anything you have to say about the experience so far I would love to hear. Don't make me beg, fuck. Use this thread for any comments, I really do thrive on hearing from my handlers. Thanks guys. - Cody

I like the idea of segment prompts. Writing prompts help EVERYONE. I would absolutely be into this.
Secondly i think you are doing great with Elysium so far. I would loce to start seeing some specialty matches coming to fruition but so far i am really enjoying being a part of this group and not just because i have the world title. Very refreshing to find another group of veterans to test myself against.

I would loce to start seeing some specialty matches coming to fruition. They will in time but I want them to mean something. I also like the idea of us having our own specialty matches. The War of Attrition is pretty much Progress' Thunderbastard match but I gave it a less goofy name.

Just my personal thing, but I've always found the idea of having a real twitter for a fake person to be odd in the extreme. Not to mention twitter is a huge platform that already contains the real accounts for many of the people's whose faces we use and if they ever should happen to object to anything we do or say, we're the ones in the wrong. But that's just my two cents, I know twitter is a thing and it's not going away, I'll be a grumpy old lady about it on my own time.
I also would love a writing prompt and some character direction, what you think I could do better, what you'd like to see from the character. It'll help me feel like there is a plan and I'm not just shouting into the void hoping I out write people.
I like this place, you're a reasonable dude well in touch with your players. The deadlines are really reasonable and I love some of the characters here. Glad I found the place really, I will say maybe the show doesn't need so many character segments. Hear me out, we've got the anti-social network and are expected to write two promos per-match. After all of that, sometimes people just run out of shit to say or things start feeling very 'soap opera.' Just my opinion, but you could sacrifice a segment at the start and have a 'dark match' for the new signs or underperformers as a chance to help get people on track. Though I suppose if you're going to start doing prompts this problem mitigates itself.
I'd also like to ask, you can lose too many matches and get kicked out right? This is all effort based, yeah? Or are you going to drop characters that aren't going anywhere despite work put in? Sorry, this is my first purely RP fed, still adjusting to it.

There are many people that I have been a shepherd to from lower card losing streaks to World Championships. I don't give up on handlers unless they give me a myriad of reasons. I can understand the frustration with losses but I am always around to talk about character direction etc. Also I don't bury people unless they consistently no show or quit.

Awesome, kinda figured that's what it was. I'd love your help, struggling with this character after the place literally imploded lol. So any advice you can give, actually kind of want to talk about a heel turn, been thinking about it for awhile and I think I have a way to do it.

One of the reasons I will always stick by him and join a fed he runs and help anyway I can. that being said. I too like the segment prompt idea. Sometimes I want to do a segment but have no idea. I think it would help out a lot with getting characters set in a direction or story or gimmick or whatever. I love the lower word count we have going. Everyone here seems pretty chill. Keep up the good work Cody

Glad to see you asking for help. My all-time favorite fed was run by exactly one dude, and while he did ask for a promo now and again, he handled ALL writing and segs. It lead to amazing cohesion and flavor...but it also lead to burn out. Please don't burn out!
I firmly believe that twitface is both the best and worst thing to have ever happened to this game. That being said, when not taken to the extreme, twitface can add a whole lot of flavor and character to the fed. Sarah's wife was literally met by twitter interaction/roleplaying and was purely organic, and that kind of thing can be healthful. Already, Sarah has established fun relationships with Elina, Jake, and K-Remix, and I think that those are examples of how successful twitter can be. Additionally, twitter is how I found the fed in the first place, as well as the other fed I highly recommend for large rps, UGWC.
Cannot wait! I IRL love tag wrestling (and the randomness fun of a lottery) and Sarah is thus far a KILLER tag wrestler. My suggestion as far as randomization: Legit put the names in a hat and draw them out. Hell, live stream it for us to watch and live-tweet about!
Looking forward to this. Sarah has been on a "world tour" the last five months to experience different styles and theories of wrestling as she develops her own unique take, and she will love going back to the UK.
Great idea! Even if it is just "In-Ring Promo #1" or "Backstage Interview #2" those kinds of things will help. So far, I am keeping Sarah segs to "getting ready for my match" because of the nature of her story in the fed, but I think this would help everyone overall. Plus, and I know this may come as a shock, some gentle nudging from the fedhead can do wonders.
Having fun so far! Don't suck, please!

I love the idea of a segment prompt. It helps with setting and keeping things fresh. I currently rp on a phone so it's not easy for me to get a segment in.
Twitter is a good tool if you keep away from the drama clowns.
I'm all for the lethal lottery but what happens to an already established team like Ryleigh and Madison.

:: POST FRONTLINE II DISCUSSION :: || Match Writing ||I have to write matches for my own fed + da Rping so avoid looking in my direction plz || Twitter ||It's good for promotion, and drawing eyes to what you're doing, (some of those eyes are bots, btw). It's good for an occasional laugh, but it can suck the life out of the game entirely. Just because you can tweet your (character's) every thought, doesn't always mean you should. I feel like more and more things in life need entrance exams in order to use, or partake in. || Lethal Lottery ||I'm planning on being my own tag-team partner for this. Gonna be fun. || Upcoming Tour ||This sounds good on my end. I'm pulled in different directions, so any input I have might be for the wrong fed at this point. P.S. If it's to be "Kingdom Come", Please make this your next event poster: || Segment Prompts ||This is a great idea. Prompts that steer the fed/results would be a nice touch. You want to push this story, this story, and this story on a show, rather than having a bunch of people cutting interviews that may not drive things forward. || Final Remarks ||I like what you have. There's potential here, and a willingness to fulfill that potential on your end will make a lot of difference, as does the involvement of a core group of handlers. You've always been good at collecting a good crew, Cody, and ideally that will, and is happening here.

Sorry, everyone, I was gone for a bit. Vacation affairs and what have you.
I think writing prompts are cool, but I feel like people should keep the option being able to write what they want. ASCENT does the same thing with their RPs and segments, and sometimes it works. It'd help people skim down what they want to talk about or give them ideas. Sadly, you can restrict someone too much and it can be monotonous to deal with.
