Hey guys. I just wanted to post a little update. I have been dealing with some personal things over the last week and that is why the show has not gone up. I expect that it will go up Friday at this point. I just can't bring myself to work on it now in light of information I received.
For those who do not know, I was informed that Nick (Kevin Moss) passed away sometime in the last few days. I don't really know what to say at this point but you can use this thread to remember him. It's a very sad day for all of us. I will post something a little more thought out but I don't know what to say right now.

I'm sorry in advance if this post ends up being a bit sloppy. I haven't fully stopped crying since hearing the news and, in truth, still am mourning. That being said, I very seldom mourn for people I don't know on a very close and/or personal note. But .... Nick made a very strong impact on me. He first reached out to me a bit after Nightfall VI's results were posted up. It's largely because of him that I have a stronger, more definite idea on how to type Sam out. He even gave me tips for writing out promos. I ... wish he could have seen the second. He messaged me, acknowledging he saw the first promo for Daybreak. But as far as I know, he never saw the second. If I had ended up making Sam - or anyone else I may create in the future, for that matter - a Face, it would have been something like Kevin; calm, confident, devoted to this sport ... yet ... he kept a decent hold on his emotions. He wasn't too harsh with his vocabulary, but he was stern when he needed to be. Kevin is an inspiration and a great example as an overall amazing Face, and just fighter in general. Although I didn't know him long, I'll never forget him, as I'm sure the same applies to most of us here. Elysium is as much my family as it is for everyone else. And so, we have all lost someone dear to us, no matter what we viewed Kevin Moss/Nick as. He's now gone ... but certainly will definitely not ever be forgotten. Rest in Peace, Kevin "The Infinity Warrior" Moss/Nick.

I uhhh...Goddamn. The world just got a bit darker, huh? I didn't know Nick very well, but he could make you feel like you did. When he was writing Kevin it was a joy to work with him. I've never really encountered someone so willing to help anybody the way Nick was and it wasn't just sentiment, he backed it up. He'd always give you feedback and do his best to help and encourage you.
He had this boundless sort of optimism that's rare that came through not only when he wrote for Kevin but when he did things like reviews and OOC posts. He just seemed like a really good guy and I wish those closer to him than me all the support and strength in the world in dealing with such a loss.
I'll certainly miss him so I can't imagine what they must be going through, but I hope they know he'll be missed by many and left a positive impact on a lot of people.
See you on the next road Infinity Warrior.

I'm not good with memorial based messages or events. It's harrowing to think that a lot of us talked to the man not too long ago. Nick was an outstanding talent, and he was a hardworking man with a lot to contribute. I cannot say much about him in real life; I never met him. For the time that I spent getting to see what he put out there, I cannot be dissuaded from thinking that he was an upstanding man. As such, it's heartbreaking that he had to leave the Earth.
All we can do now as a federation is to support those who did know him more personally. We will do our part to make sure that we can honor him in the best way we know how.
To Nick, I tip my hat. We will miss you, and your impact on us cannot be measured.

As one of the few in this fed that worked with Nick (or as I affectionately referred to him as Nv2) before Elysium, it’s hard as fuck to know that he’s no longer with us.
I will miss him.
One of the best fed heads I’ve ever worked for (the other is you Cody). He had a knack for making this game what it was supposed to be...fun.
To Nv2:
It was an honor to work with you in eWo and here in Elysium. I was glad to call you a friend. Rest easy, brother and God speed.

In all my interactions with Nick he seemed like a really nice and creative guy. I wish we had been able to do our champion versus champion match because he was rightfully very excited about it. It's so shitty to lose yet another colleague from this great hobby and I'll miss Nick often.

I didn't know him for long. He was phenomenal and a joy to work with. He wasn't rigid in the way he wanted things to go when we worked together. He was always open to ideas while providing great ideas of his own. Even being the new person, he still reached out to me about partnering up for the Grand Prix. We had plans of being the Infinity Revolution pretty much indefinitely. I'll miss getting to work woth him. He really made Elysium an extraordinary place to be even beyond the great things Cody does for us. You will always be remembered, Nick.

So now that I've had time to process this I still don't really know what to say. You have all done such an excellent job of memorializing Nick, I don't know that I could do any better. What I will do is share a little story with all of you.
When I ran eWo I was very hands on, very particular. A lot like I am now actually. Whenever I gave up control it never really felt right, I never gave it up completely. I would have people take over for me but I always made sure that I was a voice in their ear and I would veto things that I didn't like. Not a great way to handle things but that is how it happened, I'm not going to lie about it.
That was until Nick came along. Nick had participated in eWo as a handler but when I needed a break he offered to take over. Given the respect I had for him as a handler I gave him the keys, so to speak. What he did with it was remarkable. It was the first time that I felt someone actually ran eWo as well as I did. So much so that I decided to handle a character under his leadership because I wanted to play in the world that he created, the world that he was curating. And it was fun. More than that, it was creatively challenging. He pushed me to show the community what I could do as a handler and helped me produce some of the greatest content that I've ever done. Nick was to me what I try to be for all of my handlers and he was awesome at it.
When Elysium opened and Nick found us, his first question was "How can I help?". I truly believe that Elysium would not be anywhere near as successful as it is right now without Nick's help. He and I had identical views on what makes e-wrestling great and what traditions should be preserved when it comes to this hobby. I will miss working with him dearly and this hobby has suffered a tremendous loss. There will never be another like Nick.
Goodbye buddy.

I'm sorry to hear about Nick. It's been a rough year for e-fed deaths, to be sure. Rest well, bud.
