The camera's field of view is black at first, for only a moment. Light floods into the frame, and an unfocused field of green, accompanied by that particular crackling sounds of a camera with a built in mic being moved and handled by someone who isn't exactly an expert in cinematography. When the autofocus catches up to the motion, that green resolves into a field of sunlit grass, filmed from quite close. The view pans and pinwheels a moment, blue sky replacing the green, then red. Lots and lots of bright red. Red hair, belonging to a woman whose face now fills the screen. Her hair seems to be pointed skyward as she directs her sharp gaze direclty at the camera being held out in one arm.
"I hear it said that history doesn't so much repeat as it just rhymes a lot." As she speaks, the muscles in her neck strain rhythmically, and her hair tumbles, seemingly possessed of a mind of its own. "I guess it's true in some sense, because for the second time in my combat sports career I'm finding my way into an organization that my little sister has landed at first. Mi pájarita has a talent for scouting out places that offer a real challenge and room for advancement." A low grunt, and at one point the camera's view pans out enough to show the grass and sky and trees pinwheeling around the edges of the frame not filled with the woman's hair and shoudlers. Confusing to say the least. Some blaring rock guitar sounds from earbuds that she doesn't have in her ears at the moment. They too dangle upward, tickling and tumbling over her throat, then down over her shoulders and back. Soft sounds in the distance resolve into the giggles of calls of children.
"I'm sure I'll pay her back for the effort some day soon. A Young doesn't let a debt go unpaid for long. We're patient, but not slipshod. One second, mijo." She gives the camera a little toss and it lands on the ground, slightly askance and finally showing what the hell she's doing: on a jungle gym on a playground doing inverted situps. The tips of her crimson locks just tease the dirt each time she descends to a fully vertical invert. After another few reps she grabs the bars with her arms, corded with muscle as she unlatches her feet and ankles, tucks and just about folds in half to let her feet head earthward instead of skyward. She lets go, feet making that two inch descent to earth. When she stands, a few children giggle and clap off-camera. She takes a bow with a flourish. "Grácias, mijo. Now I'm off for a run." Two steps and she grabs up the camera, holding it out and retraining it on herself as she starts to run now, to make laps of the block that the little public park encompasses.
"It's a pleasure to get a chance to fight here at Elysium. I'm not exactly like my sister. Sometimes I'm less brash.. more careful. Heh. Sometimes the opposite, and I'm hellfire to her agua. One thing that we both share though, is a dedication to hard work, and a belief that if you try your ass off and don't stop.. the world's just a great big pearl to grab." Her hair tumbles as she runs, her breathing strong, steady. "I'm here to fight. To have a good time. To win." The kids say some stuff, as she comes around the side of the block with that playground apparantly. She waves to them off camera, smile lighting her up just as much as the sun does. "Future fans maybe? I want to fight, and to put on a good show, Elysium. It's sunny. The sky is clear. It's great to be here."
