Entrance Description: The lights dim. The synth tones of “Child of the West” kick in time to a sequence of lights matching the off-kilter rhythm. The song kicks in and the lights are brought up to reveal Deus already in the ring, in the ring corner standing oblivious to the crowd.
Gimmick: It’s a mask and a name that has carried weight in several federations, though the person donning the costume seems to always be different than whoever wore it last. It’s like Michael Myers in design – seemingly capable of being in several places at once, and not capable of being deterred from its (often nebulous) goal. It is best likened to ‘V’ in the graphic novel and subsequent film. Deus would tell you, “I am an idea,”, often an angry, vengeful idea, and one that may not always be clear in purpose or design. Deus is a chaos monster, often out for revenge, usually for some past slight.
