•IN RING•
The official Elysium signature plays and we are treated to highlights from last night’s iPPV Parts Unknown. The main focus being the final moments of the World Title match where World Champion Miguel Villalobos viciously attacked challenger Alyssa Daniels’ head. Villalobos got the victory and Daniels was carried out on a stretcher.
We then cut to a live shot of the ring where Frontline General Manager Ramona Holiday stood. She welcomed the audience in Montreal to the first ever Frontline from the province of Quebec. They booed her because she’s been a bit of a bitch since the year started. Holiday didn’t seem to care about Montreal’s reaction, she just flipped her hair back and introduced the Elysium World Champion, “The Wolf King” Miguel Villalobos.
“Insanity Syndrome” cued up and wouldn’t you believe it, Montreal didn’t give the champion a warm welcome. He also did not care. Villalobos walked to the ring at a slow, deliberate pace as he was followed by his sister and manager, Isabella.
The siblings entered the ring and Isabella took hold of a microphone, like she is known to do. Isabella went to speak but she was cut off by the General Manager. Holiday began to speak and Isabella had an incredulous look on her face.
Holiday said that VIllalobos is the centrepiece of The Leadership’s Grand Vision for Elysium going forward and he proved himself yet again at Parts Unknown. She continued, saying that Villalobos sees Elysium for what it is, The Last Kingdom of Professional Wrestling and he does whatever it takes to be its King. Holiday applauded the champion and he simply adjusted the title hanging over his shoulder.
No one in the ring was happy when “The Right Direction” hit the p.a. The audience on the other hand lost their fucking minds because “The marVel” Gabe Shelley came through the curtain with a microphone. Shelley was shaking his head like he just heard a very, very funny joke.
Shelley began by saying that he has been in the industry for quite a while and he is just plain tired of seeing this same scenario play out over and over again. Shelley said that this is not the first time that the administration of the company has hand chosen a champion and it likely won’t be the last.
“But that does not mean that good people need to stand by and let it happen.” Shelley said to a massive pop.
Shelley continued by saying that Villalobos has been handed the keys to The Last Kingdom but Shelley wants to be the man to change the locks. Shelley said that he is undefeated so far in Elysium and he believes that he deserves a shot at the King. As he descended down the rampway Shelley requested that Holiday tell him what ridiculous hoops he would have to jump through to get that chance. Shelley finished by telling Holiday to “go ahead and stack the deck, I’ve made a career out of defying the odds”.
Villalobos stood facing Shelley, looking down at him from the ring and the champion seemed ready to go after Shelley at any moment. Before Holiday could say anything in response “Tear You Apart” cued up and “Born To Kill” Boots Martin walked out onto the ramp, dangling a microphone between two fingers. Martin sat down on the ramp, cross legged and began rubbing her forehead as if to soothe a migraine.
“Why is it that people in this industry all seem to suffer from delusional thoughts? I swear it’s a pandemic.” Martin said. She would go on say that she too has never been defeated in singles competition, she is also the undefeated Hybrid Champion ever having never lost the title, and she was also clearly en route to win the Summit Series last year before the hiatus. Martin said that it’s pretty “goddamn obvious” that she is the most deserving of a championship match.
This seemed to intrigue Holiday, meanwhile Isabella paced behind the General Manager clearly anxious to get a word in. Isabella saw her opportunity and went to speak when “Insomnia” played and the cameras scanned the audience until they landed on Iron Champion, “The Nightmare King” Lio Walsh standing on the aisle stairs deep in the crowd.
“If this is where we are meant to come out and gloat about being undefeated then I believe I must have missed my invitation. I am among the undefeated wrestlers in this company and if that is what it takes to earn a match with our Wolf King then allow me the opportunity to throw my name in the hate.” Walsh said which drew jeers from the fans in the Bell Centre.
Just when you thought that we had seen all of the attendees to this party come out, “Invasion of the Body Snatchers” cued up and the Tag Team Champions, Erik Holland and Marcus LeVine walked out onto the stage. The two passed by Martin on either side, neither giving her any attention. Holland and LeVine walked halfway down the ramp before speaking.
“If the Hierarchy is something that our wise and powerful Leadership is actually fucking adhering too then Marcus and I BOTH have a valid claim to a title match. Shit, I was the first Elysium World Champion and it’s been a year since I’ve been allowed to fight for it. We aren’t content just being the best damn tag team in this company...we want to be at the top.” Holland said with LeVine nodding beside him.
Villalobos was seething now, pacing around the ring. Villalobos marched over to Isabella and yelled something at her in Spanish. Isabella attempted to calm her brother before moving over and trying to appeal to Holiday but Holiday paid her no mind, Holiday went to speak when the Tron lit up with the image of former Hybrid Champion, “The One Woman Army” F.M. Young.
“This is pathetic!” Young said, clearly angry. That’s kind of her default setting. Young said that no one who is out there deserves a title match. She said that she would come out and make a claim but the people in Montreal disgust her and she didn’t want to be around them if she didn’t have to. Young said that she was not pinned for her Hybrid Championship last night at Parts Unknown. She said that she never actually lost to Alyssa Daniels at Nightfall. Young said that she carried Elysium through the latter half of 2018 and she wants a fair opportunity to win her World Championship.
Holiday was sick of it. She said that if one more person tried to claim a title match they’d be fired. She said that everyone who has spoken up has a point so all six of them will get an opportunity to prove themselves. Holiday said that there would be three singles matches tonight with the winners facing each other in a triple threat match next week on Frontline for a World Title match at Event Horizon. Holiday said that everyone but the King should go to the back before she changed her mind.
•TAG TEAM MATCH•
AKEMI HAYASHI & PEACHES vs. THE VIXENS
The first match of the night saw the fledgling tag team of Hayashi and Peaches try to continue their winning ways against The Vixens, Rachelle Ryder and Nora Frost. Hayashi started the match against Ryder, Ryder catching Hayashi with some big strikes but Hayashi fought back with some of her own. Which popped the Montreal crowd.
Hayashi called to the audience and cracked Ryder with a high roundhouse kick to the head. Ryder fell back into a corner and Hayashi nailed her with a running forearm to the face. Ryder staggered out of the corner and walked right into a dropkick to the knee from Hayashi.
Dagger tagged in Peaches and Peaches climbed to the top rope. Ryder stood, favouring her knee and got nailed with a top rope lungblower from Peaches. Peaches covered but Ryder was able to kick out at two. Peaches looked to gather Ryder but got hit with an eye poke. Ryder hit the ropes and then dropped Peaches with a hip attack.
Ryder tagged in Frost, who hit a springboard from the apron and took Peaches down with a springboard bulldog. Frost covered but only got a two count. Frost got Peaches to her feet and went for the Frost Bite (Tornado DDT) but Peaches held her up and drove Frost into the Peaches/Hayashi corner with a running shoulder block.
Peaches tagged in Hayashi and Hayashi planted Frost with the Starflower (Twist of Fate). Peaches then climbed to the top rope and came down on Frost with the Booty Drop (Seated Senton). Peaches then ran across the ring and hit a dropkick on Ryder as Hayashi covered Frost for the three count.
Winners: Akemi Hayashi & Peaches
•BACKSTAGE•
“The Chi-Town Striker” Camille Harrington is shown backstage, her arm taped up following the events of her Iron Title match with Lio Walsh the night before. Harrington was talking with fellow MMA specialist Landon Carter.
Carter told Harrington that she earned respect from a lot of people in the locker room for fighting through that arm injury at Parts Unknown. Harrington said that she’d be better prepared next time, but she appreciated Carter saying that.
A chuckle was heard from off camera and we panned over to show Lio Walsh walking by with the Iron Championship over his shoulder. Walsh told Harrington that there wouldn’t be a “next time”. Walsh said that he has beaten Harrington twice and tonight he takes the next step toward the World Championship. Walsh said that he will carry on being undefeated and he will become a double champion.
Carter stepped forward and got in Walsh’s face. Carter told Walsh that he isn't the only person who is undefeated. Carter said that after he beats Jake Archer tonight, he’ll be coming for Walsh and the Iron Championship. Walsh didn’t back down and the two looked like they would come to blows before Walsh backed away and said that he had a match to prepare for.
•SINGLES MATCH•
LANDON CARTER vs. JAKE ARCHER w/ Spectre
Next up the undefeated Landon Carter took on the...consistently defeated Jake Archer. Following the bell, Spectre handed Archer a wrestling headgear. Archer strapped in and then went to shoot on Carter but quickly got caught with a knee to the chin.
“It seems that Jake Archer was misinformed about Carter’s particular combat disciplines.” Thad Balk said.
Archer was rocked but he went for another double leg takedown, however, Carter shoved him into the ropes and then cracked Archer with Greetings From Kings County (Running Knee to the Face). The headgear did nothing to help Archer because Carter quickly pulled him into Bankrupt (Lifting DDT). Carter covered while Spectre proceeded to lose his mind ringside.
Winner: Landon Carter
Carter stood and had his hand raised but Archer grabbed at his left ankle. With Carter distracted, Spectre hit a springboard into the ring and took Carter down with a meteora. Archer and Spectre then started to put in some fuckin’ work on Carter which Montreal didn’t like. Not one bit.
What they did like was when Camille Harrington came charging to the ring. Harrington slid into the ring and nailed Spectre with a drive-by kick. Archer slid out of the ring because he wanted to no part of that shit. Looks like the two MMA enthusiasts got each other’s backs. Nice.
•IN RING•
Following a virtue signalling commercial for male razors, the new Elysium Triad Champions, The Triad of Tango were in the ring, flaunting their new championships. Azurine Vebbins took the opening moments to congratulate her long time partner Talia Areano on her first Elysium title win. Vebbins then thanked Mariano Fernandez for coming to their aid in dispatching the Switchblade Angels. Vebbins said that they would be defending the titles--
Oh what the fuck? That’s right, she was interrupted by some...dude...walking down the ramp. He was dressed in denim and sunglasses inside so that was kind of weird. This dude said that he wanted to be the first to congratulate Triad of Tango on their title win. He then asked if he could call them TOT. He said that TOT would have people coming out of the woodwork to face them and he wished them well.
The dude then introduced himself as Ramsay Kapstone and said that they might know his brother. Kara Scene and Tommy Kapstone then came down the ramp and Tommy introduced TOT to the newest member of Static Age. Tommy said that TOT had better enjoy having those titles because they would not have them for long.
•BACKSTAGE•
To everyone’s great relief, Yuki Kita still worked at Elysium and she was backstage to let us all know that following the events of Parts Unknown both “Kodiak” Carter Williams and Alyssa Daniels would be out of action for several weeks. Kita then introduced Leland Morgan to speak more on Daniels’ injury.
Morgan said that his friend Daniels had not just been the Heart of Infinity but the Heart of Elysium since the company returned in September. Morgan assured the audience that Daniels would return in a few weeks at full strength and with a renewed purpose.
And then came the fly in the ointment in the form of “The Obsession” Danny Hall. Hall said that he was happy Daniels was out of action because it would let people like him claim the spotlight that she had been hogging. Morgan called Hall a miserable human being and an embarrassment to the industry. Morgan went on to challenge Hall to a match at the next Frontline. Hall laughed and said that the only embarrassment here is Morgan. “See you next week.” Hall said, extremely satisfied with himself.
HYBRID CHAMPIONSHIP
•SINGLES MATCH•
ESCHATON vs. ATROPOS ©
Next up “The End of All Things” Eschaton looked to end Atropos’ Hybrid Title reign at one day. Atropos, “Fates’ Chosen One” wasn’t willing to let that happen. Man, these two have fun nicknames. Atropos knew that she had chop down the tree that is Eschaton so that’s what she did. After a few leg attacks Eschaton decided to take Atropos to powerslam country.
Filth Murphy loved this shit because he likes the bad guys. As Eschaton repeatedly bent Atropos in half with a series of backbreakers, Murphy neared closer and closer to verbal orgasm. When Eschaton charged, looking for his Revelations (Yakuza Kick) but Atropos countered with her bad ass Matrix kick that sent Eschaton over the top rope to the outside.
Atropos found herself on the apron and she jumped off and caught Eschaton with an inverted spike hurricanranna! Eschaton’s head was driven awkwardly into the bottom of the steel steps. The referee started a ten count and to Atropos’ great luck, she was able to slide in and Eschaton was counted down.
Winner: Still Elysium Hybrid Champion, Atropos
•BACKSTAGE•
Akemi Hayashi and Peaches were interviewed by Bon Klassen about their recent success as a tag team. Klassen congratulated them on their two successive victories but also noted that two wins should not be confused with a win streak. What a dick. Peaches said they are happy to be teaming together and they have their sights set on the Tag Team Titles.
As if summoned by some kind of dark wrestling magic, Elysium World Champion Miguel Villalobos walked into frame with Ryan Gates and Isabella. Isabella, finally given the opportunity to speak, said that it hsa been over a month since Enigma Protocol teamed together and they could use a tag team match.
Like the spunky good guys they are, Hayashi and Peaches did not back down, they gladly accepted. Peaches said that they weren’t scared of the World Champion and they definitely weren’t scared of Gates and his losing streak. Gates went to make a move but Isabella stepped forward and stopped him, saying that the Wolf King needed to make his way to his throne for the next three matches.

•SINGLES MATCH•
BOOTS MARTIN vs. MARCUS LEVINE w/ Cassie Sykes
Before we set this motherfucker off, the World Champion Miguel Villalobos came to the ring flanked by Isabella and Ryan Gates. Villalobos climbed the steps to his scary throne and took his seat, ready to watch the next three matches. He sat the title in his lap and folded his hands on top of it.
Montreal was certainly pumped on this one because both of these contenders had been in team action for the last little while. The Bell Centre was ready to see them mix it up in a singles match. The two jaw jacked a bit at first but once Martin threw the first punch boy howdy it was on. Martin got the better of the initial exchange and after subduing LeVine with some strikes she smashed him with a busaiku knee strike. She got herself a two count, which does not constitute a victory.
LeVine fought back with a series of big kicks which got Montreal on his side. He didn’t give a fuck. LeVine hit the ropes and levelled Martin with a Shotgun Kick! (Frontflip Heel Kick) and he got a two count of his own. Aw, twins.
Filth Murphy was not a fan of LeVine having control, mainly because he has a “raging crush” on Martin. When LeVine applied a Fujiwara armbar but Martin was able to roll through and turn that into an inside cradle or some similar pinning predicament (there are a lot and sometimes the various names escape me). Martin got one foot on the rope for leverage because she is a jerk and was able to secure the three count.
Winner: Boots Martin
•PARKING LOT•
Following Martin’s extremely modest celebration we cut to the parking lot where Zafar Khan was signing some autographs for the poor fans who couldn’t afford tickets to the show. What a guy, always giving back. As Khan continued engaging the less fortunate members of our fan base.
The dirty, impoverished fans were made marginally happier when “The Dragon Lord” Yuuto Tatsugami walked into frame and approached Khan. Khan didn’t seem to know what the fuck this was about but luckily Tatsugami explained himself. Tatsugami said that both he and Khan were on a path of loss, of defeat. He said that both of them needed to change their path and one of them could do so in a match next week.
Khan asked if that was a challenge and The Dragon Lord nodded. Khan accepted when Volkov walked into frame. This was highly irregular, considering that he doesn’t manage this show but the world of wrestling can be very wacky sometimes. Volkov said that he would sanction this match but it would take place on Glitches, in The Dungeon...where he could keep an eye on them.
•SINGLES MATCH•
ERIK HOLLAND vs. F.M. YOUNG
These two are no strangers to each other and it showed. Miguel Villalobos watched from his throne and both competitors turned their attention away from each other, to the champion. Villalobos gestured for them to begin, an arrogant thing to do indeed! Erik Holland stomped toward F.M. Young and she bailed to the outside of the ring BUT NOT out of cowardice. No. Young tripped Holland up from the outside and then blasted him with the Man-Machine Interface (Discus Clothesline) but Holland being the hoss that he is, just absorbed it.
“That clothesline may work for Young on smaller opponents but Holland is much larger than Young.” Thad Balk noticed, for those viewers who are blind. (I guess that wouldn’t make them viewers, maybe...hearers.)
Young tried to rush Holland but he caught her with a hip toss and she landed with a thud. Holland then toured Young around ringside and introduced her face to several of the attractions; the guard rail, the steel steps, and nearly the ringpost but Young caught him with an uppercut to the guts. Young caught Holland with the Superchick (Shiranui), stepping off the ring apron. Holland laid prone on the outside and Young slid back into the ring.
“It seems as if Young is trying to emulate her rival Atropos’ victory from earlier with a count-out.” Balk said.
“She would never copy Atropos. Atropos copied her!” Murphy screamed, willfully oblivious to the impossibility of that comment.
The referee got to a eight count and Holland slid back into the ring. Young pounced on him with a leaping knee drop and then sent Holland shoulder first through the turnbuckle pads, into the ring post. Young then tossed Holland back onto the mat and climbed up to the top rope for the Battery Powered Bombshell (Starship Pain) but Holland got his knees up at the last moment and then planted Young with The Toxic Avenger (Death Valley Driver). Holland covered and earned his place in the triple threat match.
Winner: Erik Holland
•GORILLA POSITION•
We return from a thrilling commercial for Kidz Bop and Gabe Shelley is warming up before the main event. His vibe is likely ruined when Elysium General Manager Ramona Holiday walked into frame. Holiday informed that she felt that this main event would be much more thrilling to the audience if it was fought under Iron Rules.
“As to favour the Iron Champion?” Shelley asked, already knowing the answer.
Holiday explained that someone’s undefeated streak would end in the main event, that was important. She also said that Montreal deserved one more incredible main event before Elysium returned to Toronto. Holiday wished Shelley luck and let him get back to his warm up. Shelley didn’t look bothered.
•IRON RULES MATCH•
GABE SHELLEY vs. LIO WALSH
“The marVel” Gabe Shelley came to the ring first and much like at Parts Unknown, Montreal was on his side. The Iron Champion, “The Nightmare King” Lio Walsh was out next and Montreal collectively booed him because he’s a bit of a prick.
“Montreal does not care for Lio Walsh in the least.” Thad Balk said.
“Montreal doesn’t care for winners!” Filth Murphy quipped.
Before entering the ring Walsh searched under the ring and pulled out two chairs, tossing them into the ring. Shelley wasn’t about to let this shit stand, Shelley told the ref to call for the bell and because Shelley apparently has some kind of authority in the matter. Shelley charged and slid out of the ring but Walsh jumped up onto the apron and them came off the apron with a Lou Thesz press onto Shelley.
Walsh laid in with some shots and then stood up, kicking Shelley in the face. This bloodied Shelley’s mouth and released the mad dog(g) in him. Shelley got up and cracked Walsh with a superkick which popped Montreal. Shelley called out to his French Canadian supporters and sent Walsh into the guardrail with a side Russian leg sweep!
The Nightmare King was on DREAM STREET as he staggered up to his feet like so many drunk people but he rushed Shelley but Shelley brought him up and down with a flapjack, face first onto the announce table which drew the ire of Murphy. Shelley got up on the table and soaked in the adulation from Montreal.
It seems like the positive response from the crowd stirred a demon in Walsh because he popped up, grabbed Shelley’s foot and ripped it out from under him. Shelley landed face down on the announce table, his face smacking a monitor. Walsh dragged Shelley off of the announce table and planted him with a snap DDT on the outside.
The Iron Champion pushed his opponent into the ring and then went to enter but Shelley cracked him with a high kick to the head. Out on the apron now, Shelley looked like he was setting Walsh up for The reVolt (Cradle Shock) off the apron but Walsh blocked it and brought Shelley down to the floor with a death valley driver! Shelley looked down and out, Walsh wanted to capitalize. Duh.
“Gabe Shelley is in a bad way. We have not seen The marVel in this much trouble since he has been in Elysium.” Balk said.
“Yeah, he’s facing the undisputed Iron Champion. He is in more trouble than he fuckin’ realizes.” Murphy responded.
With Shelley back in the ring, Walsh set up the chairs that he introduced earlier. Walsh set the chairs up side by side and then positioned Shelley for the Made of Nightmares (Rock Bottom) but Shelley hit Walsh with some elbows to the side of the head, swung under Walsh and planted him with The reVolt (Cradle Shock) right into the seats of both chairs, bending them flat! Shelley covered and got the three count.
Winner: Gabe Shelley
Shelley celebrated his victory but his music cut when Boots Martin came threw the crowd and jumped the guard rail. She looked as if she was going to attack but Erik Holland was already on his way down the ramp. All three contenders stood, shifting their focus to one another. All at once the three of them turned their attention to The Wolf King on his throne. Villalobos held the championship high as we left you from Montreal.
