In a one night tournament Erik Holland defeated KEG in the first round, K-Remix in the second, and Sarah Lacklan in the finals to become the first ever Elysium World Champion.

2. SHIDO
Frontline: Nightfall | 12/17/17 - 10/01/18 | 289 Days
Following a brutal attack on then champion Erik Holland's partner Tiami Erickson, the champion challenged SHIDO to a Cage of Death Match for the World Title on the last show of the year. Albeit a brutal contest, SHIDO was able to pin Holland following a Bloodstained Love Story off of the top rope onto some tacks to claim the top prize in Elysium. Mind you, he did not walk out under his own power nor did the former champion.

Wideawake: Ex Inferno | 10/01/18 - 01/07/19 | 98 Days
Elysium went on hiatus in April of 2018. When the company returned, SHIDO remained World Champion. At the first event back, Wideawake: Ex Inferno, five singles matches were held with the winners going to the main event in a War of Attrition Match to determine who would be champion in this new era. The finals saw Alyssa Daniels, DEIMOS, Elina Cartel, F.M. Young, and SHIDO compete for the title. Daniels was able to last eliminate DEIMOS to win the match and the World Title.

With the deck stacked against the champion, former Tag Team Champions Miguel Villalobos and Ryan Gates challenged Alyssa Daniels for the World Title in an Elimination 3-Way Dance. When Gates was taken out early by Daniels thanks to help from Gabe Shelley, Villalobos would go one to pin Daniels following La Mordida del Lobo onto a steel chair.
